I am pretty gender neutral. I tend to get along with a lot of women... but I find friendships with women often get complicated over time. So unless my female friends are good friends with my wife, I usually just stick to male friends.
Still, I tend to click with both men and women on the friendship front.

I used to click with both, and I always had a handful of good gfs but always had more fun with guys...but I don't get too friendly with men now.... Don't want to upset the hubs. And anyway, don't really meet men unless it's with my husband. Haven't really met any new women either.

In terms of friendship, I click with women more than I do with men. But when I was working, I preferred working with men as they tended to be more straightforward and less dramatic.

Before I got married I had more guy friends. Now.. I think I still get along better with men, but my only guy friends are DH's best friends.

I used to get along much better with men only because I was always the gal pal - no sexual tension, just the friend. But now that I'm married, I'm not exactly sure how to have male friends anymore. I get along really well with women but often there is a degree of walking on eggshells.

I used to get along with men better, but now I'd say it is equal. I think it's interesting how women tend to answer men when this question is asked. I wonder why that is?

Previously it was both males and females equally. But these days more female now that I'm an old married lady. The great thing is that my husband is now pretty tight with most of my long-time guy friends, so we all can hang out.

It's often easier for me to be friends with men. I get so nervous with women, and we can be so catty and judgmental...men are quite straightforward, usually. I definitely find it more difficult to become closer with women.

Women. I only have one male friend and it's kind of an unusual situtation. I get along great with men, but I feel uncomfortable getting close to them because that can get complicated. Usually if I'm hitting it off with a male friend, I'll steer him to contact DH instead of me and that works really well. My DH gets along with everyone, so the guy will become 'our' friend and go through DH to talk to us.

Through high school and college, I always had an easier time befriending women, but I hung out mainly with DH's almost-all-male crowd in graduate school, and now I'd say it's about equal. My best friend these days is a guy. DH is also equal-opportunity, and probably actually has more female friends than male friends. We're at an age where most of our friends are partnered anyhow, so we end up almost always hanging out with mixed-gender crowds and having both of us be friends with both partners.

In the past the majority of my friends were males with a few close female friends. Since getting married I would say the ratio has changed significantly. I'm closer with my female friends now as they are at the same point in their lives, most of my male friends are still single and partying so we don't have a lot in comon anymore.

I click with both equally. It all comes down to personality with me. If you are catty, man or woman, I will not get along with you. I get along best with people that don't take life too seriously.
