I collect egg plates and have them hanging all over my dining room. I also collect pig stuff.
I'm sure eventually I'll want to start some sort of collection for my lo, but she needs to grow up a little first.
What do you collect?

hehe. i'm not a collector. my sister, on the other hand, collects so many things i've lost count. my mom tolerates my sister's shopping and collecting because she assumes all of the cute madame alexander dolls and littlest petshop items and snoopy stuff will one day belong to my LO(s).
DH and I like to declutter and throw away/donate things.

I collect books but that is all. Thankfully my office has really nice built ins so they all have a designated space and aren't all over the house. I really don't like clutter and every couple months I find something to donate or throw away.

I don't like clutter at all, I use to collect Longaberger baskets though. My husband collects vintage coca cola stuff.

I used to have a pretty teapot collection, but I got rid of nearly all of them when I moved to the UK. It just didn't make sense to pay to ship them. My husband is the real collector: old sheet music (he doesn't play anything!), anything Laurel & Hardy, and socks (he's got an ENTIRE dresser full of them!)

Mostly just books. I guess we also collect records as our collection is always growing, and I do collect Limoges boxes though I haven't bought a new one in a couple of years

I used to collect everything Sanrio. *hangs head down in shame* I slowly stopped collecting about 2 years ago, and now my belongings are boxed up and ready to go in the basement or attic. Too bad my LO is a boy and probably doesn't want anything to do with the girly Hello Kitty goodies. Maybe one day I can pass it down to my future daughter.

I've collected key chains since I was a little girl. I probably have about 350 of them from all over the world.

@melisslp: I used to collect keychains when I was a kid. Except instead of storing them or displaying them nicely I would put them all the key ring that had my house key. It drove my parents nuts and my dad was worried that I wouldn't be able to get to the key in a hurry if I needed to so I wasn't allowed to do that anymore.

@eeh: I never have displayed them either. They're in 3 plastic shoe boxes. Too funny about your Dad's response! My Dad always warned me that the ignition in my car would fall out from the weight of the keychains. Nowadays, I just keep about 2-3 keychains attached to my keys. :o)
