I've noticed when I read sad blog posts or news stories, ppl will comment that they are crying or sobbing as they read it. I always wonder if they really are crying or if they're just saying that?
I don't think I ever cried because of something I read that happened to someone I don't know.

I didn't used to, but since becoming a mom, I'm a lot more emotional and will tear up (for real) over the silliest things! So yes, when I read something sad, I cry!

This is kind of like "LOL" I use that all the time but I'm never really laughing out loud when I use it... I am usually just chuckling inside and thought what was said was amusing.
I will say I use "that really bought tears to my eyes", I usually mean it and maybe they aren't complete water works it really did touch my heart and my eyes are brimming with tears about to burst and maybe if I was in a more private place I would totally be bawling. I will agree with Adira that I didn't use to be like this till I became a mom.

Yes, very easily. There are many posts on the boards on HB that I can't click on at work because I know I'll start crying. Or I have to close a thread suddenly because something makes me start to tear up.
A friend's birth story had me sobbing at work one day! She and her baby almost died, so it was quite scary, but I took it really hard.

I will say "this made me tear up" if I didn't cry, but will say it made me cry if it really did make me cry! Especially stuff about mom's and kids.

Yes. 1000 times yes. I am such a wimp! It's worse now that I'm pregnant. I literally cried about FOUR things I saw on the internet yesterday. WHAT?!

I have always been sensitive to sad things. I'm the one crying when a character I love gets killed in a book or movie. Since getting pregnant and having a baby, though, my hormones have pushed me to the extreme. Now I cry at things that are heartwarming, too. I try really hard to keep it in check, but I can't help it! Even relaying such a story to DH can push me to tears.

Yep, I cry over stories all the time. Especially those concerning abuse, children/animals, ect.

My heart aches and cries, and physically I want to cry, but I don't. I do find myself more emotional/more in touch with my sensitive side post kid though.

Yes after having ds, I tear up really easily, especially if the article is related to children.

Yes I cry at sad things and heartwarming things, I have always been like this but I think it has become worse as we go through IF treatments, I blame it on the hormones!

Nope, I almost never cry (once at a funeral 13 years ago, a few times in the very early PP days, but I can probably count the times I've cried in my adult life on my fingers), and don't usually write that I do either. I'll just say something was very touching.
I don't write LOL unless something actually made me emit an audible giggle either. LOL from me is the highest online compliment to ones humour

Sad or sweet things yes... any blog post about losing a child rips my heart into pieces. If I comment that I'm crying/teared up then I really did.
I most recently teared up at Mrs. Sea Otter's Birth Day photography - so heart warming!!
