I usually don't swear but occasionally it slips out if something terrible happens. I just say "dang" and "shoot" in front of LO and he seems to have already copied that so I'm happy that I don't have the habit of swearing...
DH on the other hand, will let out "dammit" and the f bomb when he's frustrated. I get annoyed with him since I know he can control it. A few weeks ago, our garage door opener's battery died and DS whispered "dammit"...ahh I was shocked that he picked that up. So DH is making an effort after hearing that to use other words like fudge, or shoot.

My husband has a terrible potty mouth which has worn off on me unfortunately.
I'd prefer to have no cusding in front of the kids, but realistically that'll never happen.

I haven't cursed since last year! Well, I might have slipped once or twice. Definitely try to keep the language clean around LO!

We cuss. It is another way to communicate. We try to find other ways to say what we are trying to say but sometimes, its the only way. We have slowed some with LO but he is going to learn the words anyways. I would rather he learn to use them correctly in context from us.

I used to have a terrible problem with cussing but I have gotten much better. I do not want our children to cuss and I don't see how it is fair to use a certain set of words and expect ever learning children to not use the same words.

I swear a little. We are starting to drop it now, LO is 12 months. I can't swear at work so it will be.fine.

I cuss sometimes and I'm really trying to stop completely. It's become a bad habit. DH has a horrible potty mouth after being in the military for 2 years! DS will be 8 months old in a few days and we've been talking about starting a swear jar! DH's mouth has been out of control!!

Hubby and I are pretty bad about cussing (he's horrible about it actually and rubbed off on me). When we're around kids, I'm usually pretty good about watching my mouth. Hubby on the other hand, not so much.

DH is a teacher so he isn't much of a cuss-er any longer. He trained himself to say F or D or S instead so I try to do that as well. Sometimes we'll use the real word but only for emphasis and usually while DD isn't around.

I don't cuss. I grew up in a non-cussing household, and the words never enter my mind when I'm talking. I do say things like "shoot" and "frig" in times of extreme emotion, but other than that, it's "shucks" or "oh my goodness/word". My friends say I talk like an old lady. I never noticed until they told me so.

DH grew up with cussing relatives, but I've never heard him cuss. Ever.

We don't really cuss that often. Only when we're really really mad. But we're definitely trying to not even do that since our son can understanding everything we say now. It's hard though! In the heat of the moment, it just comes out!

I do - DH tells me I have a trash mouth. Trying to curb it as yesterday I said a few cuss words in front of my niece and felt so bad and need to start curbing this habit!
