i used to do coconut oil with every diaper change even if there wasn't a rash, but that didn't last more than a couple of months. we use diaper cream just when there's a rash.

Only when I see a little red, and that's not too often. My mom however wants to cream his butt every time!

I actually use cream every night! He gets rashy really easily, though, if he poops. And sometimes he poops at night/in the morning before I change him, so it serves as a barrier to keep the poop from touching his skin.

We used to use butt paste every night but she's been much less rasht lately so we've quit and she's fine.

We did triple paste at night for the first three months or so and realized he never pooped or had a rash so stopped. Now he gets coconut oil all over every night.

My LO is in cloth and I do a pea size amount of California Baby cream before bed now that he's starting to sleep longer.
