I've never been good at doing my monthly breast exams. But, since my grandmother has breast cancer, I decided to start. I have to say they feel so much different after breastfeeding that I don't know what is normal - haha.

Not specifically, but I breastfeed so I am constantly handling my breasts and feeling them every single day.

No. The last time I had them checked when I got a pap, my doctor told me doing them at home won't really help since most women don't know what they're looking for. Not sure if I believe her or not, but I've never been good about doing them!

@Adira: I always wondered about that - I mean, how the heck are we supposed to know what's normal and not? It all feels lumpy to me. haha

Nope... I usually wait until my yearly physical and then my GP does it. haha I really should start.

@BabyBoecksMom: haha, yeah! I don't do them, but I don't see how they could hurt, right?? Presumably if you do them often enough, you'll notice if something is off, right?

I recently started again, and it totally freaked me out!! I know I was only pregnant each time for a short while, but I swear, they feel.totally different than they used to! I had my annual in January, but I still may ask the next time I'm in. I just want to know what is "normal"!

I don't but should. A close friend's sister got breast cancer at 26.
