@yoursilverlining: this exactly. I really don't think of it that much! But when I do, I have no complaints. Just seems like so long ago.

I had good experiences both times, but I don't really think about it very much.

fondly, but I had two great birth experiences. I mean, it hurt like crap, but I still remember that it went well and with both of them I mostly just remember holding my little girls for the first time on the outside, so amazing.

Fondly. I had two c sections and the first one I had medical issues and didnt see my twins for 4 hours but my body needed it to recover so it had to be. I don't think we are any less bonded because of no skin to skin in the first hour. I had two healthy boys who none of the doctors thought would make it so I couldn't care less how they got here, as long as they made it. My daughter was a pretty straight forward c section. We were reunited after 20 minutes. I had some dizziness so I wasn't allowed to get up for 24 hours but that wasn't too big of a deal.

I still think about it a lot and get choked up. My birth experience was incredible. I will never, ever forget the moment the doctor handed me my girl. It went so well, I'm totally afraid of having another baby... it certainly can't be so wonderful twice!

I was induced and had pitocin, and had a very rough year of a tongue-tied colicky baby, and struggle to breastfeed afterward--but I actually look back at my birth experience very fondly. I loved it!

Fondly. I had a c-section, but I knew I was having one (for medical issues) going in, so it wasn't a surprise. It was actually a lot smoother than I had envisioned.

Interesting. I haven't actually sat down to think about the experience in a while, but it was fantastic and I wouldn't change anything about it.

My experience was scary and emotional.... so I don't look back on it FONDLY. However, it's only been seven months and I've already kind of "forgotten" the most traumatic bits and the sleepless nights. I guess it's nature's way of ensuring more procreation! I do, HOWEVER, look back fondly on that first moment I saw my beautiful boy's face. He was so perfect.

My labor was a nightmare...not only the loss, but the whole process. I never posted those details, but it was the worst 2 days of my life. I try not to think about it at all.
