While I don't like paying to have my hair dyed at a salon, I am too antsy to dye it at home. Tonight I touched up my roots at home, but haven't seen the results yet.
What do you do about your hair color?

Ugh, I'm only 26 and already have a few grays that I need to keep hidden. Not a lot, just a few strands.

I used to dye or give my hair highlights at home for years during high school and college. I have gray hairs, too. It wasn't until I was close to graduating when I realized how damaged my hair was. I haven't dyed my hair since. It's taken years for all of that dyed hair to grow out. I don't think I'll ever dye my hair again.

I am prematurely grey (for reference, my mom is not yet 60 and her hair is pure white now). So... I look 18 with dyed hair and 38 with natural hair and I'm 28. I dye my hair and leave the one streak of grey that's more solid without dye. (My hair is salt and pepper greying, with two white streaks at the temples)

I have virgin hair and my friend who cuts my hair is dying to play with it. She's constantly reminding me that when I'm ready to color my hair, she'd be more than happy to oblige.

I almost always get it done at a salon. I have dont it myself at home but prefer it done at a salon. I started getting grey hairs at like 22 (lucky me) and have dark hair so they really stand out.

I've been dyeing mine at home (because I'm cheap) since I was...13 or 14.

Started getting highlights at 15, and have been getting them regularly ever since. I have sandy blonde hair and always do blonde highlights, so I can go long stretches in between dye jobs and not look totally strange. I usually only get highlights done 3-4x a year.

I picked other. I used to color my hair at the salon. But I'm not comfortable doing so while pregnant so now the greys are just allowed to shine though. I feel quite confident that my first baby free outing will be to get my hair done : )

I feel most comfortable going to the salon to get my hair colored. I do both full color and highlights for contrast. It never looked good when I did it myself at home. The only downside of going to the salon is that it is so expensive (oh yeah, and it takes forever)!

Only at a salon, but I'm lucky and my sister is my stylist, so she will sometimes bring the salon quality stuff home and then I just have to pay for the product not the full price!

I was getting mine done in a salon but recently I started using a box at home. I'm working on getting it to my natural color so that I don't have to pay to dye it at all.

I got tired of dying it for fun when I was younger, so I don't dye my hair anymore. When I turn grey I sure will change that!

I color and highlight my own at home. I wish I never would have started dying it. I can't even remember what my natural color looks like. :l
