I always do ever since being with DH. Last year MIL told me they made prime rib instead. I was appalled!

Yep! We have an infrared fryer and it is so delicious and juicy when it's cooked in it.

Yes! Though recently, I've toyed with mixing up the side dishes and the turkey brine. Just so long as there's turkey and stuffing, I'm a happy camper!

Yep! It wouldn't be Thanksgiving dinner without turkey (though there were a few years when I was a vegetarian that I just ate the sides...but everyone else had turkey).

Yup. It used to be the only time I'd have turkey(besides a turkey sandwich/sub here or there)

Yes, always. I do know some people who do chicken breast, or ham though.

We always have turkey, BUT my dad's family is italian so they make some pasta and other italian dishes too. That way everyone is happy!

Honestly, I would eat ONLY turkey for Thanksgiving. (With gravy. Always gravy).

YES. Turkey is a requirement for Thanksgiving, IMO. DS is due just before Thanksgiving this year and it's already been decided that my parents are coming out here and making us a full turkey dinner :D.

Yes turkey is a staple, I would be so made if we didn't get it!

Yup, always! I don't really like turkey (except for the crispy skin, nommmmmm) but it wouldn't feel like Thanksgiving without turkey and turkey gravy and all the classic sides.

Of course, it's tradition! Wouldn't feel right without turkey on Thanksgiving. And I make turkey pot pies to freeze and turkey soup with the leftovers yum

We usually do, but my sister is vegetarian and we like to have Thanksgiving with her family. Last year she made delicious enchiladas- unconventional, but tasty! DH and I went for Thanksgiving turkey lunch later that week.

Yes. Turkey with some gravy is so, so good. I always wonder why I wait until thanksgiving to eat it.

It isn't Thanksgiving without turkey! A few years ago DH's sister was hosting & decided to do prime rib instead. It wasn't a big deal to me (we celebrate twice, w/my family & w/his) but DH was horrified! When something other than turkey is served at Thanksgiving or Christmas, he'll bring his own turkey to eat. I tell him he's high maintenance. Heh.

You HAVE to have turkey on Thanksgiving. It's non-negotiable for me. I can't wait...I love Thanksgiving so much!!

It has to be turkey on Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's the only times a year we get it!! Sometimes our families do something different and it's always a let down lol.
