Hell yea!! According to my parents I've done this since I could understand conversations. The like to tell me how I'd used to look like I was totally concentrating on what I was doing, playing by myself (before siblings, so I was under 5 yrs old), and they'll be talking, and then later on out of the blue I say something about their conversation.

Yes. I like overhearing too-loud (and too-personal) cell phone conversations. I always make up the other side of the conversation in my head.
People are so loud, and they don't even realize it!

All the time! That's one of the best things about living in NYC--lots of juicy conversations to be heard.

I never do. It's not that I wouldn't, I just am excellent at tuning people out. I actually get annoyed if someone's conversation grabs my attention. My husband, on the other hand, will lean into someone's conversation without realizing it. I have to smack him every once in a while because it gets really obvious.

@MamaMoose: mine too! The girls next to us were talking about our friend who is a professor and they were calling him Professor Sexy. Lol! I wanted to say something sooo bad but DH wouldn't let me!

YES. I can't help it! I get so distracted and automatically switch over to trying to hear the other conversations. Drives DH nuts. My mom did the same thing!
