I do if I take them when LO is in bed. If she is awake they are usually rushed showers because she is whining for me.

I love showers as long as I know R is being taken care of.

Showers these days means getting in, getting clean and getting straight out. I haven't had a leisurely shower since before lo was born. I miss baths, we have one here but it's quite shallow and the hot water is terrible plus I never get the time to enjoy one.

I enjoy them if M is sleeping. Otherwise there's crying and I'm yelling "you're ok! mommy's coming!" while I"m shampooing. Ugh.

Yes. I don't have kids so for now I can luxuriate (Wendy William"s word).

I do not like taking showers and avoid taking them if I can. Gross, I know. I don't really enjoy being wet and I don't even like to go swimming very often!

I usually enjoy them if I'm taking them on my own and someone is watching LO. I begrudge them if they fall during LO's nap time as that cuts into the time I have to myself. And if I am showering with LO, which happens about 3 days per week, I don't mind them, but they certainly aren't relaxing or enjoyable for me (LO loves them though!)

I like being in there, but don't like the before and after.

I enjoy taking showers when DH is home playing with LO. I like to take my time. Since I stay at home, I don't shower everyday so it's a treat. While on vacation last week I enjoyed a shower every single morning, and man was that a luxury for me.

Showers are so tedious with all the shampooing and shaving and whatnot. But I take one every morning regardless.

@Ree723: Lol I hate taking showers during naps too because it feels like a complete waste of the precious me time
Eh. I always feel better after taking them and I looove them after a long, hot day when LO is asleep and I can just relax. On a daily basis they're just a means to an end for me.

@MapleMoose: Agreed. I think my magical power of choice would be to snap my fingers and suddenly be scrubbed, washed, shaved, blow dried, and clothed.
That being said, I love a cool shower on a hot day.

Oh yes. Really hot ones. I have often just stood there until the hot water is gone.
@Artbee--I'm with you on the after part (blow dry hair, put on makeup, etc.), but what's the before part you don't like?

Yes, but not with a toddler knocking on my shower door!

Ohhhh yes. As soon as DH wakes up every day, he gets the baby and I get a shower. It's my break from the newborn trenches every day and it is glorious!

I like the shower part, but not the getting ready and doing my hair and makeup part!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Wendy Williams cracks me up. I used to watch her when LO was a newborn. I have a photo of LO looking at the tv (it was brief!) with WW on the tv like she's watching her.. @Ree723: @Running Elley: I totally agree about nap time. My dd is a TERRIBLE napper, so nap = unload/load dishwasher, eat a frozen meal, sit, maybe do some bill paying or whatever on a good day...45 minutes?
GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts
@grizz: It was mine too. I was thinking recently about how I don't even think about showers these days...when dd was a newborn it was like my 10 min me time.
