I started a thread on this yesterday, but I just drove solo 350 miles with a 4 month old! I feel like I can do anything it went so well!
Do you ever have moments where you feel like a badass mom?

@matador84: That's definitely something to feel badass about I don't know if I can even compare to that!

Hells yes! I managed to keep her calm for an 8 hour international flight! No crying at all! I even got complimented by an older woman who was sitting across the aisle on how well-behaved she was.

Sometimes I watch both kids in the morning and make breakfast and do the dishes too. It's only possible b/c the kids play really well by themselves, especially now that Charlie has gotten into jigsaw puzzles. Still though, when it happens I feel great!

Ha, my accomplishment are smaller, but I felt pretty badass last week when I managed to make tiramisu for DH's B-day and purchase and wrap 24 presents (one for each hour of his birthday) with a 4 week old. I was pumped.

I was in a store and the strap was broken in the cart. Lo was trying to stand up and I walked past a mom having the same issue as me, we exchanged sympathetic looks. I distracted lo with something in the store and she sat down. Five minutes later we passed the same mom...... Her son was now standing in the back of the cart screaming. Win!

Whenever I accomplish anything with all my little ones around I feel pretty good. Going to target or the grocery store can be a nightmare with three little boys running around and a little girl crying in the basket. When its not and they are well behaved I love it.

@artbee same thing happened to me, but I used a swaddle blanket instead and tied DD from waist (as makeshift loose seat belt). That was enough to keep her from moving around in cart seat. That definitely made me feel like badass resourceful mom

Hahaha love this thread. Flying w baby solo always makes me feel like a rockstar. Also everytime I wore her to an event I felt cool.

two things come to mind:
- flew solo on a 7am flight from LA to NYC with both kids
- gave birth without meds
that's about it

@matador84: I felt like this the first time I was alone and changed a diaper and nursed in the car

It feels minor to all these moments but every time I told that LO is a great kiddo I get a boost of mommy pride that reminds me the rewards are much greater than the challenges.

The things that make me feel BA
- making a full blown breakfast while breastfeeding
- taking a 2 year old on a 800 mile train ride solo
- getting me and two kids ready in just under two hours (from wake up to out the door)

Getting him down at night, I feel badass afterwards, it's a tough job these days. Especially by myself.

- 6-hour road trips with a toddler by my lonesome
- Being able to get him down for bed in 10 minutes without any protests
- Seeing him eat/sleep like a champ on the road, because we still stick to a schedule. My mom can't stop marveling at how well he does when we're visiting.
