I get more confused when people change their avatar. I'm totally lost when people change both at the same time!

OMGosh yes! With all the recent changes there are a number of bees that I'm constantly going "Argh, who the heck were they?!"
I have to agree with @Mrs. Jacks: too! Even though I "know" these ladies from being around so long, now it feels very "stranger" like.

So many username changes lately has got me scratching my head a lot trying to figure out who the person used to be.

Yup. I thought there were all these new people until I started looking at post counts. I pretty much have no clue who anyone is nowadays

@banana: yeah, it was red shoes and then a pic of lower half of DS and I for a bit and now a pic of a hawk. I got too paranoid someone would recognize my wedding shoes.

Yes, I find it annoying, name changes are my LEAST favorite feature here on HB. I get confused, then have to go back through archives and look for replies to figure out who the person is- especially when there is a high post count, I feel like I should know who I'm interacting with.

All the time! Sometimes I can tell by the avatar, but lately I'm not on as much, so it's not so easy to figure it out.

@mrbee: I'm sorry, I'm not feeling great and am on the crabby side today- I don't mean to be so negative, you guys are great about suggestions (I just don't have any for this one)!
It's not a horrible thing, and I can understand why it's nice to have from time to time. I do like that you limit how much it can be done! I very much agree with @Mrs. Jacks: that it does disrupt the community feeling sometimes.
We are on the interwebs, no matter how careful we are, it is a public entity- and in some ways that's the beauty of a community, getting people from all walks of life. I think it's just there have been so many recently, it got overwhelming. Glad to hear it's slowing down again

Yes! I get very confused by this! I just did my change recently and played around with the idea of changing my avatar too, but decided to wait a bit.
On the other hand though, it's sort of fun to figure out who is who after a username change!

Yes! I'm planning on sticking with my avatar and name for that exact reason. I get so confused. I still associate people with their original usernames, especially if they kept the same avatar.
