Both my kids are napping, and I'm laying on the bed. I'm trying to take a nap, but can't fall asleep...so I'm just enjoying my quiet time for now.

Lettie is 5 months old and a pretty low-key baby, I feel very lucky. She is a good napper so I get quite a bit of quiet time, especially on days where my husband is also home & I'm working from home.

Sometimes after Xander goes down to bed if Hubs is playing video games, then I get time to myself, which is nice!

My LO is napping right now
I have a hard time enjoying it really right now because she's a really unpredictable napper... so I'm always sort of on edge because her nap could be 5 minutes or 2 hours. I think as she gets better/more predictable on napping I'll start enjoying those quiet times a whole lot more!

Yes, C is normally a decent napper, so I make sure to take a few minutes during her naps as quiet time. It's nice, and I know it won't last forever as she naps less and we eventually add a second kid.
@Mae: I remember those days so well-- the most frustrating part-- well, ONE of the most frustrating parts-- was not knowing how long you have. You rush to take a shower, brush teeth, eat something, clean something, get all that done in 15 minutes, then she sleeps for 2 hours. Next time, you relax for a few minutes before getting in the shower and BAM, she wakes up the second you put the shampoo in your hair. And you're thinking "Why did I waste all that time finishing my coffee?!?!" It gets better, promise.

@Foodnerd81: lol exactly. Also I think LO has a sixth sense to somehow know whenever I get food. I swear every time I get her down for a nap and rush to get my breakfast or lunch together, the moment I sit down with food she wakes up and cries. (Plus side: I keep losing weight bc LO does not give me much time to eat and she really likes being walked around and around and around and around and around..... haha)

@matador84: DD takes 1 long nap now (3 hours) so I use this as my HB or quiet time.

Just during nap time. I live for nap time these days! I love DS but he is into everything and has the motto "the noisier the better!" I just love how relaxed I am when the house is quiet and clean and he is sound asleep.

Sometimes during her naps, although the past week I HAVE to be holding her to make naps happen. So my time is usually at the end of the day when DH is home.

Sometimes during naps, but usually I'm running around trying to get things done. A few days a week, I get quiet time after I've put LO down and before DH gets back from playing soccer.
