Dh does sometimes and he doesn't like it. He insists on going into her room and giving her a kiss before he leaves, with me hissing "Don't wake her up!" It really sucks because he gets home around bedtime too.
I hope you get lots of extra snuggles tonight.

almost every day! I leave at 6:45 am. And even if she *does* wake up, I can't hang out with her, because I'm used to her not being awake, so I don't schedule in extra time if she does wake up. So my husband just gets her and I still have to run around getting packed and ready. And he tries to get her to go back to sleep so it's easier for him to get ready for work and he gets pissed if I go in and stimulate her more by saying goodbye or kissing her (because she gets excited when she sees me). So generally, I don't even enter her room in the morning. =(
It sucks but I'm used to it now.

M is still sleeping when I leave for work and is asleep for the night already when I get home (I work 12 hour shifts). Luckily it's just two days a week. When I work the weekend I put her to bed Friday night and don't see her until Monday morning

Occasionally on Mondays because thats the only day of the week I don't take her to daycare.

No cause I take her every day but it breaks my heart when I have to wake her to take her. She was out this morning and didn't sit when I turned the light on, touched her, or anything. I had to pick her up before she woke up. She never does that.

DH does this every day--he leaves for work at 5:40! I have to wake her up sometimes.

@Foodnerd81: kissing a sleeping baby? He's playing with fire, brave man!!

Every day. I leave for work at 6 and he doesn't wake up until 8. The lat thing I do before I walk out the door is peak in on him on the monitor. I only get to see him for 1.5 hours before he goes to bed on week days. Stupid super long commute.

it doesn't happen often, but it did this morning. i think he's exhausted from playing with his buddies before bedtime last night! dh's bff's kids were over!
HUGS mama!!! I remember the first time I had to leave for an early AM mtg and it was SUCH a hard day... I hope it flies by for you and you're hugging her ASAP!!!

I am starting to. Today will be my second day. My work is suffering since, for the past two and a half years, I have gone in after LO wakes up 99 percent of the time. I need the morning time to get back on track.
Sad!!

Always. I leave for work at 6:30 and Hubs doesn't wake up Xander until 7:00. BUT I'm still breastfeeding, so I wake him up to eat before I go and then put him back to bed, so I do at least get to see him briefly!

I did for a few weeks when DH was home and I was back at work. Broke my heart!!

Only on days when I have faculty meetings as I have to be into work 30 minutes earlier than usual.

Almost every day. And lately her mommy preference has reared its ugly head, so even if she wakes up before I leave, I try to sneak out. If she sees me and I leave 10 minutes later, she FREAKS out. No good for her or DH. Makes me really sad, though.

@Foodnerd81: Ha! M is such a restless sleeper in the morning that I'm pretty sure just opening her door would wake her up.
@Anagram: That'll be me in a few weeks. I'm switching my hours to work 8-4 instead of 9-5. It's going to suck because I'll have to leave around 7 and she normally doesn't wake up until 7:30/8, but I'm looking forward to having a good amount of time to spend with her after work.
@MrsF: Ugh, that must be really rough

@mrbee: I know! But since it's usually about time for her to wake up anyway, it's a risk I'm willing for him to take. Back when her sleep was so horrible he went in once and woke her up with his kiss (haha like sleeping beauty, but not). I just stared at him in disbelief for 5 full minutes like, You woke her up..... You WOKE her UP.... YOU woke her!

@lawbee11: I bet when she starts sleeping through the night (which will be soon, right??) she will start waking up a little earlier anyway. And time after work will be better than before for sure.

I actually don't mind if they stay asleep! I guess I am the only one. If I think about it it does suck but it make the morning much easier and quicker if they stay asleep!

Not yet, since I SAH until she's almost 12 months. But when I do go back there will be 3-4 days a week when I don't see her at all because of my 12 hour shifts. I'm absolutely DREADING it.

It happens a lot for us. I'm kind of used to it now and it's honestly kind of nice to get ready in peace, but sometimes I still get sad not seeing him before work.

Every day!!!
It's sad. Especially the days I have school right after. I don't see him at all on Mondays because I leave at 7am and don't get home until 8:45pm.
Most other days though I am home earlier, or I don't start until later. I have an odd schedule because I'm in school
