I made the mistake of doing this a few days ago, and now Charlie begs for it when I'm putting him to sleep.
You ever held your LO's hands? Did they get hooked on it?

That's so sweet! One of my friends posted on FB the other day that her 5 year old son automatically reaches out to hold her hand whenever they're watching something on TV or a movie. She was lamenting that someday, that won't be his default positioning. (Though I can see how you don't want to get stuck holding his hand while he falls asleep every night!)

I did this with my youngest. We had just moved after I left her Biodad so she was having a difficult time with all of the adjustments. I had her toddler bed next to my bed and would lay there holding her hand til she went to sleep.

Funny story depending on how you look at it. DH's coworker does this. His daughter will be in the crib and he will hold her hand through the crib slats and sleep on the floor. So ... maybe not the best habit to teach your child....

Awww. SO cute! Sometimes I hold her hand, but I know it'll be hard for me to pry my finger away so I stopped. I love baby hands.. and toes and feet.

@Andrea: I quickly realized this was the inevitable outcome... I've slept on the floor of his nursery for the last two nights!

So sweet! But good to know that I shouldn't ever attempt that.

I TRY to hold LO's hand but she won't let me! She twists her wrist around to escape from my grip! Sad!

Yes! I totally do and I love it. I don't know....I don't get too worried about things becoming habits for some reason. I learned quickly that kids grow up so fast and I know that once he's older, he's probably not gonna want to hold my hand at all. I just try to enjoy every moment with him while he still thinks I"m the WORLD to him.
