I lost a children's audiobook that we checked out for a roadtrip. I find the whole process of checking out and returning books stressful... but am trying to overcome that so that the kids get to experience the joy of library books.

No, but teachers and students lose books from my library all the time. It happens!

No, I just have to search through all our millions of books for the library ones. I agree, it's quite the process sometimes!

I lost a DVD once and had to pay $25. UGH it was awful.

Yep, it's due next Saturday and I am turning my house upside down looking for it. 
I REALLY don't want to pay for that book.

Yes. Several times. I hate it. I actually stopped checking out for awhile. Then I went back. I think of it as a donation to the library. Plus I met a friend who works for the library so I figured I helped to pay for her salary. That made me feel a little more joyful. Still I wonder where the heck did those books go!?!?
Ack! I just remembered I left a whole bag of books in the trunk that were due before I left on a trip this week! I hope DH found them!

I have such library guilt! I've never lost one but I have returned UBER late. Guilt!!!!!!!

I know I lost books when I was younger, but I haven't as an adult...yet. My cat did tear up the last page of a library book once and I had to replace it. The was the book came from the library I work at and it was a brand new book (I was like the 2nd or 3rd person to check it out). I had only been working there a couple months I think and I was so embarrassed!
I think the worst part was there were literally like 3 sentences on the page he ripped up...I had to replace the whole book for such a short part of the story, haha.

Nope, which is surprisingly considering how many library books I've taken out over the years! I was one of those crazy kids who would ride my bike to the library multiple times a week for new books.
