mini-terrorist! LOL!!

Alll the time. I try not to let it get to the point of mini-terrorism Like if the kid wants to stay home a little later on a weekday, it is really not good for my work hours, but I feel for him and give in a little unless people are counting on me to be on time. It's horribly inconvenient, but not so unreasonable. My biggest help is getting him to understand what later means... most of the things I can't let him do are really fine, just at a different time

haha, my pediatrician always reminds me not to negotiate with mini-terrorists! But, I do!

What really makes me laugh is while E doesn't tantrum often, when she does it's a full-on crying/screaming doozy. And she *always* heaves a big sigh at the end and says "well THAT was a big cry!" haha, cracks me up!

She's allowed to give her thoughts and opinions and sometimes I adjust based on her thoughts. But for things that I say no to I try and stay firm.

Hah, DH and I each have our weaknesses.
I will NOT negotiate with meals, and he will (and she totally knows this). He will not negotiate with impatience/boredom fits, and I definitely do.

I try never to go back on my word if I've said something, so in order to not get myself stuck, I offer a lot of choices "are you ready to go now, or two more minutes?" If I just say it's time to go, I don't let him negotiate. So I try not to back myself into a corner I don't want to be in. But it does happen.
