I nursed LO 2 a few times while wearing an Ergo when she was around 10-12 months old.
I haven't tried yet with LO 3.
Do you BF when you wear your LO? When did you start? Any tips?

I could never figure out how people did that! But so far I just have the one LO and had the luxury of sitting and nursing for as long as it took. Once this baby is here I may try since I'm pretty sure the 2 year old will get impatient.

I have tried so many times but my LO will not nurse in an upright position at all.
I'm hoping next LO will do it since LO1 is a go go go baby and doesn't sit still ever

Never! He's 10.5 months and I've never been able to effectuate it. I haven't tried that hard though. He's not a big ergo fan and I'm petite so the whole thing just seems awkward.

I nursed my daughter in the ergo a lot when she was little. I would loosen the shoulder strap on the side I was nursing so she would drop down a little and be in a better position.

I can't seem to figure it out! LO is almost 10 months old and we've never been able to make it work. I think our proportions are weird or something...

Yes, I loosen the waist strap and bring it down lower to my hip. I wear a shirt where I can pull down from the top and will have to squeeze my boob to get it in his mouth.
I nursed both kids in the ergo!

We really couldn't, because LO won't nurse without the SNS to increase the flow, but even if we could I don't see how to make it work! Maybe once she's bigger it'd make sense.

Around 12 months I became pretty good at nursing in the Tula. It is as others describe- lower a strap shimmy boob out have her latch. But I find doing so leads to cracked nipples. Probably due to an awkward latch. Also never worked at all when she was younger.

I did a couple of times in the BabyBjorn but it wasn't comfortable and totally impractical for going out because it only worked with no shirt on So it was pointless. I wonder how people do it!

I did once a few weeks ago at the apple orchard. I had a moby like wrap and a button down shirt and I covered on top w a a&make blanket. Went on a weekday afternoon so it was pretty much dead as far as other ppl too.

I also marvel at people who can manage that!! I'll try again with lo2, but it was a total flop with my squirmy son.

Yeah! We do it lots, costco.. hiking.. You can't tell at all. I just move the carrier so it's down low on my hips, loosen the strap on one side and kinda scoot her over towards a hip a bit more. Once I figured it out, it was easy, but took some time playing around with it. I did it more often with my first daughter than my second, mostly as I'm usually tandem wearing and that would just never work haha. I can only do it in my SSC's ( tula and olives and applesauce ) I couldn't get it to work in a RS.

I have it pretty well figured out with the Ergo 360. I have to loosen the shoulder straps a lot so I can move DS to one side. My boobs are small and they would be visible from the side, so I've worn a cover over the whole thing.

I do it at least daily while we are out and about. I lower the waist and usually a side strap, pull out a boob and jiggle us both about a bit to get it in his mouth. Sometimes I have to lean him back a bit to latch. It is a bit awkward but once he is on, it is easy. I have had a few older ladies totally baffled by it and shriek in surprise "oh! You're breastfeeding!" Yes. Now shhhh! Lol.

@autumnlove: constantly and from the beginning. be patient with yourself while you learn. i would loosen the straps to lower him to the right spot.
ETA big boobs, didn't care about flashing people, alternated between pulling shirt up and pulling shirt down. didn't make a huge difference

I couldn't make it work with LO1. I think there wasn't enough...give...to the milk machines. It works fine with LO2. I was nursing a few weeks ago when my pastor called me up in front of the congregation for an announcement. I kept wondering if anyone could tell...

I did when DS was less than 6 months old in the Ergo. We were traveling and walking around so I just lowered the ergo straps and nursed him.
