I just spotted a dad wearing his LO in a back carry with a woven wrap. Pretty much one of the cutest things ever. Share your baby wearing dad stories or photos!

My husband always babywears He was tandem carrying the girls yesterday, he said people were rolling down their windows and waving as they drove by. Everyone he passed had to stop and talk to him and tell him how great it was. He wears our tulas, but he also wore our wrap when we had one I love pics of babywearing dads!

DH occasionally wears DD. She slept on his chest in our Mai Tai while I played tennis last weekend. So sweet! I don't have any pictures though.

DH has his own carrier. He will only us a SSC ("my backpack carrier.")
I bet if this is a girl, he will want a girly one. :o
He loved wearing our son for the first year! He would "fight me" over who "got to" wear him. It was great.
He only would wear him outdoors.

DH doesn't love babywearing but he likes it when he has both kids by himself. I love babywearing but I have had trouble this time around with the Ergo pushing on my post C-section flab and then I just had to have surgery again (IUD perforated my uterus) so it will be even more time before I can try again.

My DH has often carried our kids in either a backpack style carrier or our Tula. He was never interested in learning how to wrap though. It'd be fun to both wear one kid each but our not quite 3y old DS (LO1) is 40" and 40lbs so he's just too heavy to carry.

Toddler wearing Mr. O on Canada Day!
He wears the baby now, too.

I don't think he wants his mug shot on HB, but I have this cutest picture of him wearing her in the front over the summer!
He doesn't wear her much though b/c I hog that time all to myself lol

He didn't wear her that much because the two of them created steam they got so hot. He loved carrying her when it was cooler outside, though.

My husband always wears our son when we are out. He even has his own Tula (aria) which is a music sheet print that he loves.

I couldn't find a pic of dh wearing him but he's always game! Here's one of grandpa wearing him!

@junebugsmama: awww!!!
DH has never worn LO yet. Although he doesn't think the carrier (Ergo Performance) will fit him. He's a big guy, 6'4 with very broad shoulders and just built very big.

@MrsBrewer: Yeah. LO2 is eight months and i think the last time DH baby wore LO1 was a few weeks old. He's 6'10" and I think it just doesn't work.

DH and I would fight over who would get to wear DD. Wearing her meant that the other had to chase DS the toddler.

Our typical operating procedure is that when we go places together, DH carries whatever is the heaviest thing. So for quite a while now, that has pretty much always meant that DH carries LO. We are getting used to back carries now, which is an adventure - scary but fun.

My husband loves wearing DS in our hiking backpack carrier (he'll take DS on a walk around the neighborhood with it because he thinks it's easier than the stroller), but doesn't like my Lillebaby. He did try on a couple different carriers when I was trying to convince him we need a Tula, but just didn't like the way they felt.

DS would pretty much only nap in the carrier, up until just recently, so if DH was home, he would take DS for naps, he also has started back carrying him and they go cross country skiing as well together. Can't find a photo right now.

@DesertDreams88: adorable!! Can I ask what kind of wrap this is and is it hard to put on?
grapefruit / 4361 posts
@autumnmama79: it's a boba wrap. It works well, but the k'tan is similar but easier to put on.
Howeved, the Boba is cheaper, and one size fits all, where as the k'tan is sized so my husband and I can't share (we're significantly different in height / weight.)

@Mrs. Oatmeal: Oooh, I just ordered that Tula last week and I'm so excited for it to arrive!

Dh loves wearing our son in the beco. The only bad part is he feels like he can't sit with him on. So if LO falls asleep on him and we go to eat or something, he feels like he has to take him off. Whereas I can sit while wearing him. So if it's close to a nap and we're going to eat, I wear him but if we're doing more walking, DH will wear him!

@Portboston: This is only based on the pic you posted but your DH seems to wear LO low on the hips (which my DH does too) that way sitting would be harder. We women tend to wear our LOs higher (kiss top of head height). That way sitting is easier. So if your DH would still be comfortable with LO sitting higher he might be able to sit.

@Pumuckl: that was one of the first times he wore him but he probably still does it that way! I'll have to check next time. Thanks for the tip!!

@DesertDreams88: Thanks mama! I was hoping we could get one wrap that we could both use that was also easy to put on, wishful thinking maybe...

I love seeing baby wearing dads! My DH tried a couple times with our ergo but he would start sweating profusely and that just made him and DS uncomfortable.

@Autumnmama79: Wraps like the Moby or Boba really aren't all that hard to figure out. I went to a local baby wearing group's meeting and they showed me. It took maybe two or three times helping DH put it on, but then he could do it himself and loved wearing DD.

@Dahlia: Thanks! Do you have a preference between the two?
I only used the ergo with Lo1 so this is new territory for me...
clementine / 935 posts
@Autumnmama79: We've only used the Moby, but we loved it when she was little. She took all her naps in there for a long time.

@Dahlia: Good to know. Something for when baby is little is just what I'm looking for.

Ack! I didn't see any replies soon after I had initially posted! Didn't realize there were so many now. Thank you -- I adore the pictures of dad carrying all the LOs. SO, so cute. DH didn't do much carrying with our son, but I'm hoping he's up to it for our next!

@Smurfette: aww, thank you. This was several months ago, by now his hair is out of control!
