FTM ....I have a boba wrap I plan to use with my twins. Those of you who baby wore post csection.... how long did you wait? Did you get clearance from your doctor or just decide on your own?

I started wearing her within a day of coming home. The only restriction I was given was to not carry anything heavier than the baby for at least two weeks.

I started wearing the boba around week 4, but not for long periods of time [3 hours or so) and a lot of that time I was sitting. I noticed if I did too much babywearing while standing I was a bit sore. I never checked with my midwife about it, but it might be a good idea to ask.
My LO still loves the boba at 2.5 months!

I think I started around 2.5 weeks with a soft wrap and wore her while I ate dinner or did some cooking. It was really useful. I didn't ask my doctor, but I wished I had a ring sling at the time so I didn't put any pressure or weight on my incision or tummy. It was pretty uncomfortable sometimes.

I found a stretchy wrap to be just fine right away. And our SSC was ok for around the house since she was still so little and light. I also wore a abdominal binder which helped me to feel supported and gave a little extra cushioning in that department.

I babywore once I got home, using a soft wrap (I used the k'tan). I also used an abdominal binder, which definitely helped. I wasn't able to babywear without it for a few weeks.

I started using the boba wrap 2 days after my c section. You can put it on high enough that it is nowhere near the incision.

I wore one of the babies at 7-8 weeks using the Moby. I would think its okay since I was given a belly band /compression thing the day after my c-section.
Good luck on tandeming. I don't think I tried it until the babies were like 3 months. I used two woven wraps using the jasmine carry with rings and it was a mess. I'm apart of the tandem Babywearing FB group and they have some great options to try.

Wow! Thanks all! I have an abdominal support band that I hadn't worn yet - I'm going to give it a whirl then maybe try wrapping!
Thanks for giving me hope that this is do-able

@wheres_c: I used a belly bandit from a friend. It was a lifesaver for walking around at all and I wore it under carriers.

@meadow: I felt so much more human wearing a belly bandit and I could walk around with more confidence, not so gingerly, while holding my stomach.

@wheres_c: this was the one recommended by my OB: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009D01ZRA/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

@Mrs. Goose: I think you meausre your hips and look at the measurements they provide. I went off jean sizing for me. I would order down if in doubt b/c you want it to be snug.

@wheres_c: My hospital provided them. However, I switched to my own once I got home. With DS1 I used the Belly Bandit Bamboo. It was ok, but I couldn't stand how it would roll, and it also hit me right where my incision was. With DS2, I got a Bellefit, and while it was a PAIN to get on, it was amazing and comfy. Loved it.
