Today was the first time I've ever sent anything back. I got a pineapple drink and it was awful! Last time we went out to eat my food was completely wrong but i didnt say anything. I wasn't going to send it back but DH tasted it and agreed something was off! Do you ever send your food back if its bad or made incorrectly?

Usually it's that I ordered something without sour cream or mayo, and they put it on anyway. I just can't stomach it.
If its overdone or has something I ordered without that can just be picked off or some other issue I usually just suck it up and eat it.

If I order it correctly and they screw up then yes.
Except when I was preggers and wanted mac and cheese and they just didn't have a good explanation and it had stuff and yeah it was sent back like 4 times.

I have. Mostly when something isn't cooked thoroughly. If something is REALLY gross, I'll send it back too.

Yep. If its something I can get around it pick off, then I deal with it. But if it tastes bad or is completely messed up/cooked wrong or has something gross like a hair in it, I send it back!
I actually sent back a salad just a couple days ago because the cheese was bad, it tasted completely sour. I was nice about it and they comped my whole meal!

I don't hesitate to send food back if it is not made correctly. I'm a customer who pays money for the food, and I expect a certain quality. If it was free, then I wouldn't have anything to complain about.

I have. The last time I did was because my dish was not cooked through. They comped a few things and the waitress was happy to do it. But I only do it in cases such as that (I ask for medium rare, it comes out well done etc)

The only thing I've ever sent back was a fish dish that I HAD to get off the table b/c I was still in my first trimester with P & I could smell it.. which was making me sick. And once when I forgot to order something without cheese & I was still dairy free for P.
Otherwise I rarely send anything back

A drink once. DH and I both agreed it tasted like a chemicals. We weren't gonna say anything but the waiter came by and made a comment about how I wasn't drinking it. He mentioned it was probably some leftover soap in the cup.

@Mrs. Jacks: me too I'm so afraid of retaliation and am also extremely non-confrontational.
DH is very comfortable saying something but usually I just take my business elsewhere (or do an online survey haha)

A few times, yes. Twice because I actually didn't like it- so I didn't actually expect them to do anything but both times (two different restaurants) didn't charge me for it!
I've sent it back if it wasn't made right (I asked for a burger well done and they sent it rare).
I've never had issues ever! So far every restaurant has been very courteous.

I had to once....it was just recently. I ordered my steak well done, even though I usually love them rare, and it came back not well done. I was going to eat it still and my friend was like, "No!", so I had to be a good pregnant lady and send it back.

I think the only time I've ever sent anything back was if my meat wasn't cooked enough...I can remember one time specifically when it was chicken and was still pink! And once since I've been pregnant and asked for my steak medium, they brought it out practically mooing! I was starving and had been craving red meat and almost cried because I had to wait longer to eat!

It has to be major-not cooked right (burnt or overdone especially)....I've never had anything so bad/gross, ive had to return it. I'm always super nice, no big deal.

hardly ever, i will eat pretty much whatever they bring out unless it is really undercooked. my DH is the opposite though- anytime we go out to eat if what he wants isnt *exactly* how it should be, it gets sent back. he thinks that if we are paying for something, we should get what we want. but i am way more passive and would rather not cause a ruckus

Hardly ever, but one time at Outback I ordered a steak that came out really grizzly. My DH told the server and she got me a new one. If I were by myself, I probably wouldn't have lol.

@jetsa: I am too! Luckily the server smelled my smoothie and said something was way off with it, so I didn't feel so bad. I just wanted to order a second drink instead of sending that one back but DH told our server anyway. I was mortified!

If they really messed something up, I don't have a problem sending it back. If its bearable, I just deal w/it. I got uncooked chicken once which was pretty disgusting, yea, I didn't hesitate to send it back. I'm always very nice & polite about it...hopefully that helps : /
