I love the fresh air! But sometimes the chirping birds wake me up and that's never fun.
Do you ever sleep with the window open?

Haven't since I was a little girl. It wrecks my sinuses.

No. Never ever since I read a stat in college about having higher chances of break-in rapes if you:
1) sleep w windows open
2) keep blinds open while you do stuff at night, so people outside can see who lives there and what they look like. -
Yes, as often as possible! They are open now!

No. We don't have screens on our windows, and they aren't the type of windows we can put screens onto, and I don't even want to think about how many stink bugs and flies would fly in if we left them open. I totally would if I could, though. Sometimes I have the door open (it does have a screen) in the evening, though, and during the day if it's nice out.

Whenever possible. However, we live off a green space and most of the people in our neighborhood have dogs and seem to all love to let the dogs bark at like 11pm. When I need to sleep. So it rarely happens even though I LOVE IT.

We do. It gets a little bit loud but I also sleep with the fan on. I love the fresh air.
@Anagram: those are very frightening statistics! We aren't always that great about closing the blinds, either-- though we are on the 3rd floor so someone would need a big ladder to get to our windows.

no, we have storm windows and our windows won't open. when i was little i would though in the summers.

I can't sleep with the windows closed! Even in the winter I have it cracked a little.

When I was younger I always had to sleep with the window open! Partly because I was afraid I would suffocate without fresh air and partly because my parents never turned up the a/c enough which was probably the same thing!

We did before Ds, now we never do because he is such a light sleeper. Ac is our BFF.

All the time! We live on the third floor so I'm not too worried about someone breaking in through the windows.

I have to in the summer, we have no air conditioning. I usually wake up and shut it in the morning because it's right at the head of our bed.

I always have a window in the house cracked. Sometimes I worry but I'm such a light sleeper. I think I need to get some metal poles to stick in the tracks so they can't be opened. I love fresh air and running the furnace wrecks havoc on my sinuses.
