I do it about once a week - I find myself holding my pillow and really thinking it's my baby.... until I wake up enough to realize she's in her crib.

Did you used to co-sleep?
I never wake up thinking Xander's in bed with me, but we also never co-slept, so maybe that's why?

all the time when LO was younger!! And we never co-slept either! But I used to bring her in bed w/me to nurse and then put her in crib....I would wake up 3-4x a week thinking she was in bed with me and then panicking thinking I was smothering her, it was awful!

Ha. It's the reverse for me. I wake up thinking she's in her room and then I turn over and Boom, a little face in my face.

When she was a newborn either my husband or I would wake up at least once a night thinking I fell asleep breastfeeding and she was in the bed. We didn't co sleep at all because I didn't trust myself when she was that small. Now, it will still happen occasionally, maybe once a week? We went through a faze where we would let her sleep in our bed if she got up after about 4am so I think that's why? Just last night I thought she was in the bed and I jumped out and threw everything off the bed looking for her hahaha.

Oh my gosh, my husband and I are constantly hallucinating about this. Sometimes when I'm getting out of bed to check on a baby my husband grabs me in a panic. It turns out he regularly dreams I'm a baby rolling off the changing table!

I dreamt last night that I had to go get DD up and instead of curling up on the couch with her, I had brought her to bed with me. Which is weird because I never bring her to bed with me in the middle of the night because hubs doesn't co-sleep. And we haven't co-slept in at least a year!

When LO was newborn DH was always waking up thinking his pillow was the baby and freaking out! We never co slept at that stage, although I did bring him in the bed to feed right at the start.

LO1 ends up in our bed a lot and whenever he does I momentarily panic that it's the baby.

No, we never co-bedded though. Now I usually rollover and find a little leg kicking me because she ended up in our bed

Yes, but we co sleep for part of the night. When she was younger, DH used to always do this, he'd start rummaging under the covers trying to find her and panic!

We never co-slept, but I had what I used to call "phantom baby" syndrome. When I was nursing, especially in those early cluster feeding days, I felt like our son was always close by. So when I would have a moment to sleep in our bed alone, whenever my husband woke me to feed our son again, he had to convince me that I wasn't already holding our son.
