I love the small community feel of Hellobee but sometimes I wish there were more ladies in my area. I would love to have some mommy friends and meet some new people. So far, I haven't seen any other Baltimore bees.
Do you have a lot of bees in your area? Have you met any of them in person?

i do! actually there are quite a few MI bees (way more than I ever encountered on WB!)
but we're all so spaced out! and the winter was nastyyyy! hopefully one of these nice summer days we'll be able to schedule an outing

I wish there were more. Right now it's a 45 minute drive to Nashville which means I don't get back there very often

Yes! There's one I've met though and I think there are a few more now :). I need to make an effort to meet a few when I'm home to visit in NYC.

But I'm very happy with the relationships I'm making with local bees IRL. Two other bees and I are in a baby care class together every Wednesday. I love seeing their babes both here and there;and I really like that they are getting to know dd.
This reminds me that I should start another meetup thread.

yes. I've met one bee IRL and it's so nice to have someone to talk to that 'understands'! our LO's are very close in age, so it's nice for the kids as well having a little buddy(I think anyways haha). it's nice to have someone to relate too.
I think there are a couple more in the area as well.

@rahlyrah: I'm a Maryland bee! (Just closer to the DC end of things)- there are several of us who live in Montgomery or PG County or Annapolis. I've been to a meetup in Northern Virginia before, but we've thrown out the idea of one in Montgomery County too, so keep your eye out!
(We also have a membership to the Baltimore Aquarium so are up there almost once a month if you ever want to hang out!)

It would be cool but I don't think anyone lives in my immediate area although there are a lot of NY/NJ/CT bees. Hopefully we'll have a summer meet-up!

Yes! I'm going to be moving from small town Iowa to the *big* city (or as big as an Iowa city can be) sometime in the next year, and I would love to have an avenue to meet some mommy friends. It would be nice to connect IRL with some of my bee friends, although I think I'm probably going to have to look farther afield.

I met with three bees for lunch in April. I think that was all the Atl bees. Surprised not more since such a big city.

Yep, I don't know any bees by me. I'm trying to find local groups to meet other moms (we moved here right after LO was born) but haven't had much luck so far.

@scg00387: I know! I'm so sorry I'm delinquent with my reply. It sounds like you're in another part of the state though. We've had lots of luck meeting other parents through my job, but we'll be moving to be close to my husband's job (I'll be the commuting spouse) sometime within the next year. I don't really know anybody in that area, but hopefully I can meet some other moms through DD's daycare or signing her up for some activities.

Hmm... I'm still pretty new here, so I honestly don't have a good sense of how many bees are near me. I'm near Philly, so I'm assuming there must be others nearby. It would be great to have a meetup!

Yes! I was living in Boston until March when we moved to Southern Maine. Still drivable for New England meet ups I suppose but it's different. There's so much less of...everything!

sO is trying to find another job in a different state....Austin and DC are at the top of the list.
I was lucky enough to meet @illumia @cherrybee and @zippyleff in England. Super nice bees! I'm also hoping to meet the DFW bees in July when we are there for a convention.
@rahlyrah: not sure when you are due but I'll let you know when I plan to visit my mom and see if you are around.

I wish! I'm in CT and I know there are a bunch in MA & NYC and at least 1 in RI but I wish there were some in my immediate area. I don't have too many mommy friends outside of my sister.

I think there might be a few bees in my general area - Upstate NY - but I am not sure, and since I'm not even TTC yet, it'd be weird to do a meetup, I think!
