I do!! He's got me wrapped around his chubby little baby fingers.
And I already melt whenever he smiles at me! Gahh his dimples kill me.
I've told DH many many times that he needs to keep me in check as our son grows up.

Yes...I am really afraid I'm going to be one of those smothering overly involved MILs when he gets married.... I can now understand that perspective much more!

Before we found out we were having a girl DH and I were out to eat and there was this mother alone with her son (he was probably 4) and they were sitting on the same side of the booth and she was cuddling him and feeding him and I told DH I was terrified to have a boy because that's how I would be!!
ETA: Not breastfeeding him...like putting his food on her fork and feeding him.

@hilsy85: Haha my friends already tease me that I'm going to be an overbearing MIL! I hope not!!

Yes, I really don't want to be that overbearing, overprotective MIL!! I mean we're decades away from that, but still...

I think we've definitely coddled our son a bit too much. He is our first so it's because of that. My daughter is much more independent than he is.

I'm the same way! All he has to do is give me a grin, hug, kiss, etc and I would literally give him anything he wanted! It's going to be so bad when he gets older!

I don't know if this one is a boy or girl, but that's definitely a fear of mine if it's a boy! I'd almost rather have a girl first since I feel like it wouldn't be so bad if I coddle her too much, where no one wants their son to end up as a total mama's boy... But I think DH will keep me in check either way.

Yes! I definitely worry about this. Especially since i see the way that my mom coddles my brother and how my Granadma still coddles her son and it has done nothing for them. They are both so dependent. I don't want that to be my son. I want him to be independent. But I already feel like I'm going to have a hard time with this. Hopefully DH will help keep me in check.

I work in a doctors office and I want to die when a 25 year old man comes in with his mother and she answers all of the questions for him. I know I will love and spoil the heck out of my baby boy but there is no way he won't know how to fend for himself by an appropriate age!
