My friend is allegedly coming over at 4 to visit us and eat dinner. I don't think she will come through and I fully expect a cancellation text!

I am the flaky friend I really don't mean to. It seems like when I plan to do something my ulcer or anxiety acts up then I make myself so sick that I can't leave the house. It's super embarassing and that's why I haven't made plans with my friends in over a year.
Hopefully your friend still comes!

I have a flakey sister. She couldn't even make it to my baby shower because her "dog ran away".
yaaaa, okay buddy.

I have a friend who use to be super flaky. For the longest time she struggled with PTSD after her third tour in Iraq. I understood what was going on with her, but it was hard to watch & go through the disappointment. We didn't talk for almost a year. Having been through that with her it has made me a lot more accountable.

Yea I'm the flake! Actually it's more likely that I will just say I can't most of the time when I'm invited places - major home body!

I have a friend who is always super late. Like not a few minutes. She will be HOURS late. So we always adjust the schedule for her. We'll tell her an event starts at 10am if it really starts at noon. But a lot of times she'll bail completely. I still love her though!

That's me. I accept invitations with every intention of going but then, as it gets closer I just really want to stay home, so half the time I cancel. I know it's bad and I'm sure eventually I won't get invited.

My best friend all through school is such a flake! She blew off my bridal shower to go to the state fair. My sister is also really bad. She threw me a baby shower (at my house) but I ended up doing all the decorations and cooking but had to do it to her specifications. Oh, I paid for it too.

I only have one friend other than my husband that isn't 10 sorts of flaky... I was supposed to be in my friends wedding and she was considering making me the moh but considering she said she would meet up with me to meet my new lo shortly after her birth and still hasn't almost 6 months later, I think not. That is the same girl that was in my wedding but the only time I saw her through the whole thing was picking her dress, the rehearsal and the wedding.

Yeah, one of my friends always reschedules so I have come to expect it. It isn't the same day so I don't mind, though.

I'm the flakey friend too! I would much rather be at home but when I'm at home I complain to DH that we never do anything haha! Poor DH...

I had one friend who continuously flaked on me but expected me to be there for all her events. After she didn't show up to my hen's night or my wedding, I cut her off.

I have a certain friend who I never make one on one plans with because she flakes all the time. At least when it's a group thing I can still have a fun night even when she bails.

yes! whenever we make plans, i always have her pick the date/time(even though i'm the one with the child) so that it works for her, and she'll still cancel! i don't hold my breath that she'll follow through with the plans, so i'll make other plans and 9 times out of 10 she cancels.

@mynoahbear: that's always me too!
Yep, I'll join the rest of the flakes on the board lol!
