I've been getting better on this front! I would love to eat as healthy as our kids do though! It's like they're living the life I wish I had.
Soon I shall have it too, I hope!
Do you feed your kids incredibly healthy food, then eat crap yourself?

I was totally going to post this!!! Do you have higher standards for your kids meals then yourself
Yeah, my kid only eats veggies, fruit and healthy "grain" like quinoa.
I don't always do that I mean I do eat pretty healthy in general; but not often enough.

No, just because my LO always wants to eat what I'm eating and will cry and whine until I give it to her. So I don't even buy anything unless I'd want to give it to her anymore.

I can totally see us doing this. LO isn't old enough for solids yet, but I already do this when DH isn't around. I eat terribly when I'm preparing meals just for myself.

Oh, yes! I do eat healthy food in front of the baby, then sneak cookies etc while she's asleep.

Right now yes. I used to eat way healthier Since LO is 6 months and starting to want what's on our plates we want to model healthy eating habits, so we're trying to do better!

this is what im afraid of! he's to young for food but when it comes i cant be eating junk nad then tell him he cant have it!

Yes ... I've been making more of an effort to cut back on junk lately, but I still don't eat the amount of fresh produce and such that LO eats. I'm usually eating a sandwich or a freezer meal while he's eating tofu and melon and stuff. Sigh.

@theRoo: I totally sneak cookies too!! Sometimes hastily in the corner while he's awake!! Haha
For a while I tried to cook common food for all of us, but it was just too difficult for me... I'm just not a big cook. Most of the food we eat is too flavorful or has weird spices that he doesn't like, so we just have separate food for him most of the time. Simple things like pasta with olive oil, chicken nuggets, etc.

I don't eat like crap but I don't eat nearly as many veggies as DD does. Otherwise, it is similar. Oh, but I eat dessert. She will rarely get any sweets unless it is a birthday party.

I'm really conscious of what DS eats. He always has veggies, fruit, protein like cheese or meat but umm...sometimes when he naps, I drink diet coke and eat an Oreo here and there...so bad. It explains why my jeans are getting snug though.

Yes.. it's terrible. My kids eat so much better than me. I spend so much energy on their meals and have no more energy for my own. Even DH eats better, I end up being the "garbage can eater"

@theRoo: haha I didn't see your response until after I posted...glad I'm not the only one!

Totally. I spend so much time worrying about what to feed L and preparing fresh fruits and veggies for her that by the time it comes to MY meal, I'm almost always reaching for something processed or a frozen meal. I really need to take better care of myself!
