I'm very fortunate in that our LO will lay in her crib awake and content for about 1 hour twice a day. But, I feel so guilty when I'm not in there with her talking to her and playing with her! I also feel guilty when I put her in her swing and do other things around the house. Some days she doesn't nap very much and it's the only time I have a chance to shower or straighten up the house since my husband works crappy hours. Does anyone else feel guilty when they aren't entertaining their LO?

My LO doesn't allow me to not entertain her very much. If I take a shower and she's in the bathroom floor, I have to keep the curtain open a little and talk to her the whole time or she cries. Even when she's playing sometimes I'll lay on the floor with her and read a book, but I'm still entertaining her because she's trying to get at my book to rip it up.
