I do feel like the support here is great. But I feel it's two-fold too.
Lately I've felt super encouraged in the weight loss thread! I've worked out SO much this week and never been so sore but they keep me going.

HB definitely feels like an extremely supportive community. I haven't been around for that long and I feel like a lot of you know each other really well and that's kind of intimidating, but I also know it takes a while to build friendships and I'm not really involved in any of the long-term/support-y boards. However, the one time I did start a post I got a TON of helpful comments and I'm sure I'd get more if I started more! I love all the unique perspectives here and even a fairly-lurker like me can learn from them!!

Yes! There are several bees I text with on a regular basis. A couple almost daily. Gratefully for their friendship!

I love HB
There are so many supportive bees that helped me survive my IF journey. And the November mamas were such a wonderful support during my pregnancy. I also receive support from all bees as I continue into motherhood.

you! We were both August mama's, but both of our boys ended up being born in July within a week of each other. And they shared the same "sleep is for the weak" mantra from the get go. Plus, we bonded over that lil "miscommunication on a thread" way back when, so you're definitely not weird!

I think HB is extremely supportive. There is some snark, some drama, and some cliquiness, but that's life. I appreciate the differing points of view and fresh ways to look at things. This community has helped me keep a child alive for a whole year, that's pretty fantastic.
I haven't made as many close relationships as some people on here, but that's just because I'm socially awkward. Although, one bee in particular totally rocks my socks. She has been an amazing friend and resource.

I really love HB. It's definitely part of my "village" since I have so few mom friends in my immediate area. I bonded a lot with my October 2013 moms and have met some really great people through this community.

I think that it is supportive in a very cliquey way which doesn't bode well to newcomers. I think a new member and a popular member could post identical posts and the established member would get 20x more responses.

I really value the friendships I've made here and know that DD is better off because of the advice and random mom knowledge I've picked up from our hive of moms.
DD's BFF is another bee baby and watching those girls grow up together gives me such joy.

I do! I think it can be hard for some newcomers because there are a lot of strong friendships on this site, and I will admit to feeling like a shadow around here for a while! Now that I've been around for a little longer I'm starting to feel the love
and I've made some great friends!
