I am laying down watching my belly move all around and feeling awesome kicks, and I was wondering, do you feel baby kicks while you're in labor? Do babies still move around at that point, or are they too busy moving into the birth canal? Or maybe you're in too much pain to notice? Just curious!

But I don't remember feeling him move while I was in labor. I can't remember already, but I think the contractions masked any movement.

Too distracted to notice either way. As I was delivering her, I felt her legs leaving from the inside. It was so weird feeling!!

I remember some feeling of movement in labor. When my contractions were strong, I didn't feel him move around a lot. Even my husband warned me of that as I started going into active labor. He kicked off the monitor quite a bit, so I was constantly being repositioned. The funniest feeling I had was when I was delivering him. I could feel his feet at the top of my tummy as he was exiting the birth canal. Weirdest feeling ever.

I asked this question too. I really didn't feel much movement during labor. But I had an epidural so that may have had something to do with it.

My SIL had a natural birth, her baby girl was sunny side up but at some point she says she felt her move and change position. She wasn't sunny side up when she was out and I think she's mentioned her back labor changed at that point as well.

With my first I don't remember feeling lo move around during labor but with my second I very clearly remember feeling her thrashing around. Perhaps it is because my water actually broke so there wasn't much fluid cusioning the blows but it was pretty painful!

Yes, she was moving, only because I remember saying "stop moving baby!!!"

She did move a few times because I remember hearing it on the monitor, but she didn't move much, or I didn't notice.

I remember feeling DS moving b/c I called up to the on-call obgyn at the hospital to ask if that was normal.
With P, she punched me in the cervix during a contractions which I most certainly felt! *ouch*

My DD would move just before each contraction. She was an early warning system.
Later in labor she was so active the monitors kept needing to be readjusted. -
No? I don't recall...but then again I might have been way too distracted to notice. I'd say no though.

With my son there was quite a while between my water breaking and delivery, I have a picture somewhere of his outline after my water broke. I did feel him moving around. With my second it was such a quick delivery after my water was broken and the contractions were right on top of each other I couldn't tell you if I felt her move or not. In the early stages she was moving because they had to keep readjusting the monitors.
I think I remember reading somewhere that they are a lot less active while in active labor.

Not that I noticed! I was pretty distracted by pain though.
