My mom and I are spending the day tomorrow making cabbage rolls and meatballs. We get together every few months and stock up the freezer. Next week is meat pies and shepards pie. What are your go to freezer meals?

I love making beef stroganof, enchilada pie, chicken & noodles and chili. They all thaw/reheat really well! I wish we had a bigger freezer
Someday we'll have a deep freeze!

My DH makes a big batch of red beans and rice. I can get three or four freezer meals out of it.

@Leialou: I haven't had red beans and rice since we were in Jamaica for our wedding (3 years ago!!) Great idea!

DH and I were just talking about starting this, mainly as backups so we don't go out to eat (when you "don't have anything to make" or don't feel like cooking). I haven't made anything yet but there are a TON of pins on pinterest with lots of recipes! My thoughts were chicken lasagna and enchiladas.

@Emsmems: that's exactly why I do them. So we don't end up ordering in as often. Saves money in the long run.

@prettylizy: It's just enchilada makings put into a pie pan...way less mess! I make it kind of like a lasagna just with enchilada fillings instead. I layer the tortillas, refried beans, spanish rice, seasoned meat (chicken or beef) and cheese. So yummy!

I actually made a giant list today for post partum! I have chicken spaghetti, short ribs, roasts, meatballs...chicken curry, chicken soup, butter chicken...and a variety of marinated meats that we can just thaw and grill
Someday we'll have a deep freeze!
