I've been with Olive for three days straight, and I have to admit that it can get boring hanging out with an infant all day. I don't know how you sahm's do it!
Do you get bored hanging out with your LO all day? Or am I just a bad mom?

HAHA. It used to be a little boring when she was younger. Now she's a lot of fun

Yeah, I get bored...And it's tiring...And frustrating. Am *I* a bad mom??? :*( Actually...For me, it's just loneliness. I get lonely when it's just me and LO all day long.

This is the main reason I couldn't be a stay at home mom. I need adult interaction or else I would be an unhappy mommy which would make me a bad mommy!

@Rubies: I get lonely too. Especially on long travel weeks..

I feel like I'm good at keeping busy. Lo plays nicely by herself now so I can put her on the ground and read a magazine. And she makes it even more interesting because then I have to play read a magazine while lo tries to tear it up.

I don't get bored but I don't usually get bored in general. I've always been fascinated with watching little ones learn and now that it's my own little one I'm super interested.

I used be bored when she was an infant (thanks for admitting it Bee!) but not now that we can have mini-conversations. It is tough to be alone with an infant by yourself all day long, day after day.

Yeah it can get boring and lonely. I am a SAHM and some days seem to really DRAG. I have a schedule for my four little ones so it breaks up the day. In the morning (when I can usually get their best behavior) I do learning activities, reading, art projects, sensory bins. Then in the afternoon I let them play whatever they want or play outside. Then DH comes home and they love to wrestle and play with him. It helps to have lots of activities at age appropriate levels.

SAHMs can get adult interaction during the week! Playdates... lunches... phone calls with friends during naptime? I haven't been bored at home yet really... I just always find something to do or my eldest entertains the little one.

I get bored. It's getting better because she's starting to be more active but she's still only 15 weeks.

Sometimes.. During the first year it can be hard to know what to do with them all the time. Right now LO is 6.5 weeks so he still has 3-4 naps a day which occupies a lot of time. When he is awake for two hours it can be hard to know what to do with him after we've interacted for an hour, thankfully at this age he is content to just sit with me for now.
I remember when I was a nanny I was obviously paid to play 6-8 hrs a day with a baby/toddler, I was sooo ready to go home at the end of the day. The moms would always comment how great I was playing one-on-one with the kids! Haha! I think it will be harder as he gets older. But I also plan to have a schedule, and baby wearing helps a lot, I can still do some normal activities myself.
