I'm a sahm and I totally get in a bad mood when LO takes a crappy nap! Mind you, standard here is 1.5 hours so less than that leaves me basically no break all day.
T woke coughing one hour into his nap and I got all pissy. Then he fell back asleep and I'm in a good mood again

Yes. Drives me crazy. LO turned into a crazy good sleeper around 11 months. Her norm is 12+ overnight and one 2-3 hour nap. Lately, she's been doing 10 hours at night and maybe 2 hours for naps and I'm going crazy. It doesn't help that my pregnancy hormones are making me terribly impatient and moody this go 'round.

Um, yes! DS only sleep 10 hrs/night so naps are oh-so-important in our house unless we want a whiny toddler the rest of the day. Anything less than 1.5 hrs is bad for everyone.

hahaha, YES! I am a WOHM but on the weekends, naps are still a must! Unfortunately C (almost 17 months) refused to nap at all this past weekend except when he was in the car....Fail.

@winniebee: I know it's totally unreasonable to be complaining about it! I'm just so hung up on what she usually does and my hormones make it hard to be rational about most things these days!

Yes!! When LO had a bad cough she woke up 10 minutes after her nap and refused to go down! It's brutal.

Yes! My daughter took a great morning nap, but then lasted 20 minutes this afternoon. I kept getting her back to sleep, but she'd wake up as soon as I set her down.
I'm so crabby, and counting down the minutes until bed.

Nope. It is what it is.
Normal naps for us are 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes, so I'm used to no free time, like, ever!

Yeah...mostly because I know I will deal with a cranky toddler until bedtime which isn't fun.

She stopped napping at 20 months. 
I still make her lay down for an hour or so and have quiet time though, because I need the break.

Yep! Haha as others have said, it usually means I have to deal with a grumpy kid until bedtime and that isn't fun for anyone!

Not always. My older one doesn't nap so I'm used to not having long breaks anyway. It's not quite as easy as the days when I just had one LO!

There is nothing. NOTHING. That gets to me more than bad kid sleep. I sometimes ruin our weekends when I can't relax about their naps. It's a lot better now as a second time mom and not a sahm (I'm just a lot more laid back) but it is still the #1 surefire way to get me upset. But now I rarely let it "ruin" an entire day.

Oh yes. At the weekend, I try to take afternoon naps at the same time as DS, so ... if he doesn't nap well, I don't nap well. And then we're both grumpy at each other. Wah!

Yes..I guess it is more disappointing than anything. Her naps are the only time I can get anything done!
