we've done several road trips and long wknds, but next monday is our first flight with ds! (he'll be 8.5 months)
i feel nervous, but not overly anxious, as i've read every travel tip and guide and post on hb to make sure we're prepared... i think all that's left is to go through it and hope that ds does well! 
trying not to let the nerves get the best of me!

that's great that you've had some "practice" with the road trips and long weekends. we're taking LO on his first flight cross-country in a couple of weeks (he will be 7 months old) and i'm already nervous! i'm sure you guys will do great. would love to hear how the trip goes and any tips that were particularly helpful!

@mrsjyw: our first flight with LO is this friday! she's 7.5 months old. i feel the same as you! i was really nervous at first but after reading up SO much on it, i think i'm ready! just want to get it over with. fingers crossed for you...and me! lol.

My flights have been great so far, I actually find them easier than road trips most of the time! Good luck.

We have had some flights go great, and some end in disaster. Either way, we survived... so now I don't worry, knowing that we can survive the worst!

Oddly enough I haven't felt nervous at all. We had LO on his first plane when he was 2 months. DH and I always joke to ourselves 'Oh we are those people that everyone is looking at thinking, please, please don't sit next to me and have a screaming baby!'
Luckily each time has been smooth so far. I think your LO will do wonderfully!

we flew when the twins were 4 months and it was great. we're flying with them next week and they'll be 9 months and the amount of anxiety is off the charts, argh

I'm a little not nervous... Idk the word...weary? for our upcoming flight because she is mobile and doesn't have a seat so I have no idea what sea going to do for six hours but well figure it out!
I was nervous the first time at 4 months but then and at 6 months were fine. One way or another we will get to our destination!

We've taken a few flights with the kids already but we still get nervous every time. Luckily, the kids always handle traveling better than we anticipate! Good luck!
