I haven't gotten a flu shot since college, it used to make me sick all the time!
I haven't had a cold during the winter time in over 4 years! (KNOCK ON WOOD)...
thankfully it's not flu season and ob didnt mention getting one so i won't be getting one...

I got the flu shot and it didn't affect me. Didn't get the flu during flu season either.

I never got the flu shot. BUT THEN, when I was in my first year of university, I got the worst flu ever and honestly thought I was going to die. Since then I've been getting it. However, when I was pregnant last year, I did not.

My OB suggested I get one. I disobeyed her recommendation. I've never had a flu shot!

I don't usually. But at my yearly physical last Oct when I mentioned to my primary care doctor that I was going to TTC she highly suggested I get the shot. Especially because I am allergic to Tamiflu which is the only thing they give for the flu so I went ahead and got it.

I've never had the shot, and never had the flu.
My OB recommended that I get the flu shot when I was pregnant, though, so I went and got it about two weeks before LJ was born.

I got one and didn't get the flu and didn't have any major colds through the winter either. I have students that bring in all sorts of nastiness to the classroom, so I definitely wanted the flu shot.

I got it while in my second trimester, only because the year before I had gotten the flu which turned into a respiratory infection. I had no issues.

I only got it once, while I was pregnant with DS, and then I got the flu. So I don't get it anymore, even when I was pregnant with DD during flu season.

Gotten it twice in my life. First, got sick from the shot, but not sick during the season. 2nd, got last fall during pregnancy. Haven't gotten sick.

My OB had me get one when I found out I was preggo. -- but it was February . Last time I had one it made me sick for 24 hours - this time I was fine.

Not preggers yet, but I'll defiantly get one when I am. I used to think that's long as you were young & fairly healthy that you should just let your body fight it off- then I got that awful swine flu a couple years ago. Seriously felt like I was going to just keel over & die, after my immune system was so shot I contracted mono a month later- worst 6 months EVER for me.

I get it every year - since I was little. I've never had the flu! My uncle never, ever got it - and got the flu last year. He swore up and down he'd get the flu shot from now on.

I've gotten one every year since working fulltime, they offer it free at my place of employement. My doctor was pretty adamant about making sure I had an up to date flu shot while pregnant.

Esp. while you are pregnant it is highly recommended! I was pregnant during the first H1N1 outbreak where pregnant women were hit really hard. I definitely got my vaccine!
It is highly, highly effective, though not perfectly so.

I get mine every year bc the company pays for it. I have yet to get the flu.
