LO needs to sleep by 7 pm so I feed her first and then wait for DH to come to eat. I am usually so hungry waiting for him! Like right now, hehe. Does everyone eat dinner together at your house?

I'm worried about this for us. Hubs usually gets home around 7 but I'm hoping when baby gets here he can adjust his schedule in order to come home and eat with us and do baby's bed time. Even if it means he'll have to finish up work after baby goes to sleep.

LO eats first then she goes to bed and hubs and I eat together when he gets home from work.

@MamaMoose: awww, it also depends on your LO's bedtime. A lot of my friends have their kids on a later bedtime so that helps for family time.

Unless I am starving, I wait for my husband to get home. He gets home around 7 some weeks and 5 other weeks. We always try to eat together and then can spend more time together or go do different things. We'll see what happens when the lo gets here!

We do. We're on the west coast and we both work east coast hours so our day ends relatively early and we get to eat dinner as a family.

We try to because I want family dinners to be "mandatory" when we have LOs.

DH and I ALWAYS have dinner together, but, unfortunately, not always at the dining room table. We make a point to eat dinner together every day.

We have big family dinner usually including my parents (they live next door). So usually I cook for all 8 of us. My husband goes in early so he can get home at 4. We have dinner around 5:30. Right now I don't always be to eat because I might have to nurse our 6 month old but I sit on the couch where I can still see everyone in our dinning room. I like to make sure we eat with the kids too but sometimes we wait and get fancy take out.

My husband, bil, and I eat dinner together every night. Half the time we're all around the dining room table and the other half we're in the living room watching the Food Network or basketball.

It just depends. Some weeks we get more meals together than others but there's really no way to tell when it will happen. Luckily I'll be staying home with our LO so we'll have more opportunities to eat together depending on when my husband's home. Being home for 3 meals greatly increases our odds.

We all eat together. DH comes home at 4:30 so on a good day I'll make dinner for us after he gets home and is watching LO. Or we'll go out.

Not usually. LO gets dinner at 6pm, and I only cook our dinner after putting him to sleep, so we usually eat at 8:30! Sometimes though DH and I will have a snack while LO has dinner, so that's the closest we get.
