Yes! Both the Mr and I get so frustrated with poor customer service! He's a bit more patient than I am, but still get's pretty upset!

I totally would have talked to the hostess and been like "no - you will get me a booth now." Mr. would have just gone somewhere else without saying anything!

I do but in recent years my husband gets enraged lol. We own a business so maybe that has something to do with it because he especially prides himself in our service. He complains and tells everyone we know if we have a really bad experience somewhere. He has a yelp account and he's not afraid to use it!

Oh I get fuming mad. My dad ran customer service calls centers for years so he really ingrained it in me to expect excellent service.

Eh. I've managed to lower my expectations to where I expect crappy customer service and if someone happens to rise above that and be extra nice, I reward that by giving a bigger than usual tip or buying something in their store.

There's just little incentives these days. People don't get docked pay if they don't provide good enough service (unless you are a waitress). And they are working for some giant corporation that doesn't care about the customer or their employee, usually. So, until that gets resolved, I have no expectations that anyone wants to provide good customer service to me. Maybe I am being a pessimist, but oh well.

I get so upset...and frustrated. Recently I contacted Delta because they had changed my flight time (and it moved the time we would be getting in until after LO's bedtime) so I asked to change to an earlier flight because LO would be overtired....and cranky (and as a result would be a disruption to other passengers)...Delta's response? "I'm sure the other passengers will understand...no one gets upset over a crying baby anymore...but if YOU want to change then it'll be $689.00".

Really?! I've decided I'm going to pass out a note with the customer service reps name to all the other passengers, with a note that says "I advised delta after they changed the flight time by over an hour that I would without a doubt have a very fussy baby. Willie (customer service rep) promised me that you all would be understanding and that it would no way affect the comfort of your travels. I apologize in advance and encourage you to communicate any frustrations to Delta". Or something like that.

ETA: also, for what they wanted to charge me as a change fee would have been more than if I had booked a first class ticket in the first place.

@mrbee: DH is the same way. There are quite a few places he has proclaimed are "dead to us."

I do, but I know that I need to expect less than stellar customer service and be pleasantly surprised when it exceeds my expectations.

oh yeah, i freaked out today when i left work early to wait for the internet guy and then with no missed call or knock at my door, they said that i didn't answer the phone and cancelled the appt. i screamed at the guy. i wasn't proud of it, but it was the most ridiculous thing and they had no other options to contact you if you missed one call.

@mrbee: I give out "death sentences" too!!! I get enraged, but dh stays calm as a cucumber and it just annoys me!!
