This is probably my least favorite part of the holidays. Not that I don't like giving gifts! But deciding who to include and what to give them.
This year I gave gifts to my immediate coworkers, to the big bosses and I have sort of like communal gifts to a few departments I work with a lot. But I got this weird vibe when I gave out my gifts, like either people didn't appreciate the communal thing or were really surprised and clearly hadn't planned on gifting me anything LOL.
Which, I mean, I don't care if they don't give me anything but my gift-giving is largely based on a perceived sense of obligation so it's doubly weird.
What are your guidelines for workplace gift-giving?
