My period is due today and I just sent my husband a text that says "It's 9:28 and my period has not arrived yet." Am I the only one who is weird like this and feels the need to update my husband constantly on the progress of my period?

I don't let him know on the first day, but he definitely knew last cycle that I was almost 2 weeks late (not pregnant, just coming off BC)... so I'd periodically give him updates and most definitely when it finally came!

I feel like it's his business too. He needs to know if we can have sexy time!

I give him the sad face that I'm spotting which results in my period. He usually gives me a hugs and then says that he looks forward to post AF time. He's the optimistic one when I'm sad about going through another cycle.

@artbee: Agreed! I always let my husband know when AF has arrived!

I told him that if my temp drops in the next few days, I may start to cry. Does that count? He's in charge of our paper chart, so I let him know when I start my period so that he can start a new chart.

Haha, I would tell him when we would or would not be able to "do the deed" but other than that, no. I'm pretty private with my bodily functions.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who includes him in all the little updates. He didn't grow up with sisters or anything so "period talk" still sort of weirds him out! But I guess he's going to have to deal with a lot more of this stuff when we finally get pregnant!

He knows that: when I refuse to be on top, I'm in my fertile phase. When I drink a single glass of red wine, I'm in the post-fertile, pre-implantation phase. When I actually wear underwear to bed, I'm on my period, and my period means we can have some alcohol (he REALLY wants some whiskey, but is abstaining for my benefit.) My period doesn't affect our sex life - yay for me, getting rid of cramps the fun way.

I just let him know when it should be coming and then confirm when it has.

I update him, he likes to know what's going on and he doesn't want me to feel like I'm the only one TTC, so I tell him everything

I give my husband daily updates, and if I forget then he will ask. He keeps a chart in his phone and I have a paper one as well. I tell him when my cm goes to sticky, then creamy, then ew. I tell him when AF comes and we have a few sad minutes together. If I didn't tell him I feel like I would be down more. He is good at cheering me up.

DH knows and has the password to my FF chart. He thinks of TTC like a scientist and is totally into it. He's weird.

I would always update him, but I'm not sure that he necessarily wanted to know... I tend to over-share sometimes

Not really. I let him know when I'm ovulating and when AF has arrived. Other than that, he's fine w/out knowing all the details.

Not really. You're not weird, but he always knew when my period was coming and expected it's arrival.
I wouldn't give him updates either on whether it had arrived yet, because how could I take my pregnancy test in private/secret and then surprise him with the news? I loved the look on his face.

He never knows when I'm on my period. Since we're TTC he's starting asking more questions like when I will know if I'm pregnant. I do tell him when AF comes but only because he can tell I'm sad about something and wants to make me feel better.
