We've been invited to several birthday parties for E's daycare "friends." I've never met any of the parents, so I always feel kinda weird about going, and thus we never have gone. If your LO goes to daycare, do you ever go to the birthday parties of families you haven't met?

Not yet, but I expect to around age 3 and I'm looking forward to meeting new friends.

Yes, we have. So far, all the parents we've met are easy to chat with.

Yep! Just one so far, and all but 1 daycare family showed up. It was a little weird at first since none of the parents really knew each other, but it was the perfect relaxed opportunity to get to know each other! We will be inviting all of E's daycare class to her 2nd birthday party next month.

We have only been invited to one so far, and it was for LO's BFF, so we went. His aunt and mom also work at the daycare, so we knew lots of the people there. LO had a great time playing with her classmates. It was cute to see them all interact together outside of school.

We always try to go to preschool friend parties. The way I see it, every parent wants their kid to have a nice party with their friends so it's nice to go. Over time I have gotten to know the mothers so it's a little less awkward.

yes but our daycare is small so we've met all the parents.

We go, I never know the parents as my folks do the drop off, no one has made me feel weird.

I haven't been yet but I'd go if our schedule allows.

Yes, we go and people come to ours. Everyone introduces themselves upon arrival and it's been fine.
