I stay home! Unless I have an allergy attack or something minor and not contagious, I stay the heck away. I stayed home Monday and Tuesday with an absolutely terrible cold. It sucked to use up some of my paid leave that I was saving for maternity leave, but there was no way I'd subject my co-workers to my snotty coughing mess! I hate when people come to work sick!!

Also, feel better!!

I am home sick today. Norovirus, it just keeps on giving. Blech.

I always feel really conflicted about taking sick time.

I work in healthcare -- I know better than to work when I'm sick. My employers should know better than to request or expect me to work when I'm sick.

On the other hand, relatively narrow staffing margins mean that there's a chance patients could be cancelled any day that I'm sick -- sometimes for time sensitive services.

I also get nervous about repercussions from administration for taking "too much" sick leave. We get two weeks paid sick leave benefits per year, but, it is really frowned upon to actually use more than 2 or 3 days per year and multiple people have gotten unfavourable performance reviews for that reason.

Depends on what I have but I usually go in if its something small like allergies acting up...If i have any type of fever or bad cough/runny nose I stay home!

If i'm suck with something really contagious, chances are I don't feel well enough to go.

I go if I have a cold, but not if I had strep or something like that.

If it is just a cold then yeah.
