I'm 5'8" and I think a lot of my good friends have been on the taller side, too. I'm the same height as my BFF.

@Andrea: haha! I never thought of it that way... I'm 5'8 as well and whenever I meet people who are 5'0-5'4 I feel like a giant!! I do have on good friend who lives out of state who is 4'11 and I HATE having my picture taken with her. Seriously... I look awful in every one.
My BFF is one or two inches shorter than me.

Nope... I'm tall (5'10") and I have friends that range from 5'4" to 6' tall. My best friend in high school came up to my shoulder.

Haha, great question! I don't think so though. All of my close friends are pretty tall (and I'm around average height).

I never notice people's heights unless they are massively tall or short. I see pictures and am like, "crap I'm so much taller!" but I never notice in the moment. I'm tall but I don't really feel like I'm that tall.

@Mrs. Bee: There is one Chinese girl in my classes this semester who is taller than I am (and I'm 5'11"- she's got to be like 6'2" or something.) It surprised me because I rarely see women who are taller than me and I had NEVER seen an Asian woman who was taller than me!

@Rock n Roll: i know one asian girl who's 6 feet tall. that's the tallest i've ever seen!
