We just renewed DH's membership. He likes the peace of mind especially because we take frequent road trips to NYC.

Yes. Although, it's CAA since I'm in Canada. lol. I especially loved it when I locked my keys in my car while the car was running about an hour before I got married.

@bluestriped bee: Def worth it!Google because there's usually coupons for new members. This past year we used it it four times to tow our secondary car. We Def got our money's worth!
There are also lots of local discounts offered through AAA. Tickets to movies, zoo, etc. -

@bluestriped bee: I just took advantage of it today when I locked my keys in the car with the engine running! Luckily the baby (and her poopy diaper) were with me on the outside, but still - I was glad to have AAA!

Yep...and I've used it twice in the last two months...including once when we were away in Florida. So glad I have it.

We used to but my husband got black listed! I have never heard of this happening to anyone else and I really didn't feel like we used it so much that it warranted such a thing. I may try enrolling under my name instead because the knock off version we have from our insurance is horrible!

We have something similar through USAA. Service with them has been good -- have used it for a couple of tows, a jump start, and for keys locked in . (that's over about 8 years - thankfully!)

we have it and love it! the gold is worth it for us too, i had the basic one before and would get frustrated when i had to pay to have my car towed to my mechanic because it was over the max distance covered with the basic plan. we share a plan with my parents, you can add additional people at a discounted rate

I don't have AAA, but I use the roadside service through GEICO. It's convenient to not have to pay for a tow if you get stuck!

I have it - I haven't used it as much since we got a new car (knock on wood) but it has come in handy in the past. Plus the ticket discounts are pretty awesome too!

@Meridian: I just signed up. Right now they are waving the $10 enrollment fee and if you need to add another user, it's 50% off ($17 off).

Yep-DH has needed it because he locks his keys in the car, my car broke down (in my garage) and we needed it towed to the repair shop, we also use it for a lot of our travel planning.

I don't but my mom gave me one of her cards so i've used that before when I locked myself out of DH's truck!

We do, well the equivalent to it here. It is great for traveling internationally because you get (hotel) discounts and don't need additional roadside assistance on a rental car.
