@Coral: one thing though, the prices online arent always the same as the prices in store. So it might be a better price in store, depending on the timing

This was almost a year ago, but I paid $259 in store. They were running a promo on the v6. I think there was an instant rebate. They are on "sale" in store often.

Also: if someone purchases you a Costco Cash card (gift card) you can use that as your entrance card AND and to check out with. So basically if you got someone to pick you up a $300 (or whatever) card, you could go in and buy your vacuum.
But seriously, just get a Costco membership. It is SO worth it. Plus they have the best customer service!!

Just a warning, in WA they stopped offering day passes and no longer allow you to use a Costco cash card as a "card" without a membership. Atleast this is at the 3 Costco's closest to us.

@bees_knees: I know it was a complete blow because I bought my sister in law a cash card to go purchase some items in bulk prior to my nephew being born and they wouldn't let her shop at 3 different store, even asking for day passes. She gave up but we ended up also purchasing her a year membership because the diapers and wipes alone make it worth it.

Get the membership! We buy the executive so we get a rebate with every purchase that pretty much covers the cost every year. I don't see how any family can go without one hahaha. We go every week for fruit and they have the cheapest diapers.
