I used to have a blog when I was a photographer & I miss having that outlet. I've been thinking of starting a new blog, but I don't feel like my life is interesting enough.
Do you have a blog? Does anyone read it or is it just for you?

Yes. I started when dealing with IF and then just continued through having my LO. I don't post quite as often, but I try to! I have a little over 150 followers and get about 300 page views a day which I think is pretty cool! Although it's super small in the blog world.

@mrs. bird: I read these blogs and the bloggers and their kids are always traveling to these beautiful places or going to interesting things in their towns. Meanwhile, we're at Target.

@photojane: haha...I definitely wrote a post about going to target...

I just started one. It's been a good outlet to write out my thoughts when I get inspiration. I hope to grow it.

Yes. I have a blog where I post the comics I draw about my students and teaching. It's a wonderful creative outlet.

I do but almost no one reads it. I don't post regularly enough to even try to have a readership. I do it for myself because I like going back and reading old posts. It's really sort of a journal for me more than anything else (albeit with knowledge that it is out in the world so I'm a bit censored).

@photojane: ha, living the dream! honestly though, i think a lot of blogs are like reality tv in that people use them as a benchmark to compare their lives and then feel inadequate. not everything has to be epic and when everyone compares themselves to unrealistic depictions of life, they lose sight of the joy that can be found in small, simple things. this would be what i could write about today: read the news. did some sewing. wasted some time online. showered, let my hair air dry because i'm lazy like that, experimented with a new lip color. went to joann fabrics & the grocery store. roasted a chicken and veggies for dinner. did some more sewing. watched prison shows & worked on my subscribe and save order. yup, that was my boring ass day, but it was delightful! i am often at my happiest on painfully dull days. i strive to be boring enough that no one would ever want to read about my life

I started one when we moved from Indiana to New York to keep our families in the loop with our adventures. I think my mom is the only one who reads it now, but she loves it. Haha.

I have two. I have lots of readers on my horror blog, which I've had for several years. My parenting/life/adoption blog is a few months old and i do not have that many readers.

I have one. It's morphed from pregnancy/house related stuff to sewing.

@photojane: I have a blog, but it is mostly for my family since we live so far away. And, honestly, I use it to write out the details of my boring life, because the details are fun to read 10 years from now. (Reading my journals from when I was in post-grad are eye-opening and hilarious.) I use it more as a personal journal than anything else, and that's all the ambition I have for it.

I blog! It's fun! Been fairly delinquent in posting but I try to keep up when I'm not too busy. It's mainly for fun, I post it on my fcbk for friends/family to read

I have one and the first year I was pretty good about updating frequently. I mostly used it as a creative outlet for photography. These days I barely have the time to take pics with my DSLR, let alone update the blog. But it's still there....

@Katrocap: I am a teacher, too, and so want to read your blog!

@Mrs Green Grass: I check your blog every week but I'm not clever enough to actually "follow" anything!

Not anymore. I used to be a so-called "fashion blogger" and we had over 5,000 hits a day on occasion.
No time anymore...
nectarine / 2600 posts
Yeah. It was originally to show what it was like living the expat life in Switzerland, but it's morphed to dealing a lot with IF. It's got a little bit of everything I guess. I'm not the best at updating it, but I'm trying harder. I have a few loyal followers, lol.

Yes, and it's pretty exclusively a way to share pictures and updates with my family across the county. It was public until I started getting weird search results leading to my blog I had to educate my older family members how to log-in and sign up to read it... haha.
I have like 3 people that visit it regularly

I had a moderately successful fashion/shopping blog for seven years but I quit blogging when I got pregnant. I wasn't enjoying it anymore and I was so sick in my first trimester that I just didn't have the energy to keep it up.

I have a family blog that I use to keep my family and friends up to date on what's going on - I print them out every year so its like a journal of our life
honeydew / 7687 posts
Yep, a sewing and craft blog since January.
I think I have over 100 subscribers now and average 300 viewers a day. I'm trying to build it as a secondary passive income but I also enjoy it!

I have a running blog. I used to be really active and involved with running blog community, but I only post a few times a year now.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
I did previously but I never found my groove. Posted stuff about my wedding, and that was the last time I updated it!

I do/did. It's just so hard to find time to post anything these days. It's a food and travel blog, and I miss it a lot.
apricot / 360 posts
I do but don't update anymore. One for my invitation biz that never got updated. And one the DH and did together to chronicle our travels and food stuff. I miss it... I stopped posting because I was "busy" them I got pregnant and now with the LO I realize what busy really is and will probably never find time to post!

@simplyfelicity: I'm sure you encounter hilarious situations with your students all the time, too. Thanks for your interest! I'm uploading another comic tomorrow. Here's the link:

Yep, I do. Started as a baking/infertility blog, and now it's baking/parenting/life in general

@Katrocap: I love it! Also, I completely understand the context--I teach seventh grade.

Yea, a personal blog... I've had one for 10+ years now. Started out with Xanga, then transitioned to Wordpress. It's just a personal one I upkeep for my own sake, and for my children to read one day.
pomelo / 5628 posts
@Kemma: I just do everything through blogger. You can sign up without having a blog. Then I click the follow button if it's a blogger blog. You can also copy and paste the URL. Then they just show up which is so convenient! (Thx for checking on me!)
