So Mr Bee and I are going to try having smoothies for breakfast, but we don't have a blender. Sure I'd love a Vitamix, but that's just out of our budget. Do you have a blender that makes nice smoothies?

Hubby used to work in the pharmacy at Walgreens so when he had Walgreen bucks and extra discounts, we'd buy some small appliances. We bought out blender from there, and it's quite powerful even on the lowest setting. It works well for us. It's not fancy by any means, but I've made quite a few (green) smoothies with it just fine.

I had a cheap 10 speed oster blender that made nice smoothies. It was only $19.99. It died on me and I replaced with the a 12 speed oster which I really like so far. It has a glass jar which is a surprisingly heavy. My next blender will be a ninja

We have a ninja blender It's pretty awesome! We got it after my parents and best friend raved about theirs.

I just bought a KitchenAid off Amazon for $99. It better be awesome! I have been using a magic bullet for years and I hate that thing for smoothies.
I *almost* bought a ninja, but the KitchenAid had more stars

My mom gifted us a Vitamix... We love it!
But prior to that, we had a Cuisinart smoothie to go blender. It took up minimal counter space, you could blend right in the travel cup, and it was pretty powerful for the size and price!

I can't think of the brand of our blender, but it's not high-end and works fine for smoothies! We do have to shake it/break stuff up with a spoon sometimes if there are big chunks of frozen fruit, but to me it's worth not shelling out the big bucks.
*ETA* it might be Cuisinart...that looks familiar

We have a Ninja. Looooooooove it!!
ETA we don't make smoothies, but I do make a mean frozen strawberry daiquiri with it and I have no issues blending frozen strawberries!

We have a kitchenaid and DH loves it. Crucial for us was a glass pitcher instead of plastic and that all the parts came apart easily so we could use the dishwasher to clean it.

I want the vitamix soooo badly too!!!
We have the oster and for $40 it works GREAT. I've had it for years, it's even great for crushing ice. I've gone through a lot of blenders over the years and this is the best budget blender I've found.

My SIL has a Vitamix and LOVES it! I want one!!
We have a really cheap blender, Oster I think? I hate it though honestly. I think for my birthday I might ask for a Kitchenaid one

I think ours is Cuisinart and it sucks! Would love a Vitamix.

We don't have a blender, but I'd like one...even a cheaper one, just to make smoothies with. We do have a juicer though, so that could work too.

We have a ninja and I like it, but I much prefer my cheap small single serve blender from Wal-Mart for $15. It works awesome, and its easy to clean up!

We went with the Blendtec and it is great. I've heard good things about the Ninja.

I have a nicer Oster and it totally stinks for smoothies, but I like ice in mine and it just can not handle it. I am really wanting a ninja or am hoping that my mom will give me her vitamix.. it just sits there and she doesn't use it but she said my dad will never give it up since they paid so much for it.

I bought this Hamilton Beach blender last year on a whim and it works great! My only complaint is that I garbage-disposed of the little cap in the spout, so I have to use my hand or a kitchen towel to cover the opening. Whoopsies!

But it is relatively inexpensive, has a glass jar, and is easy to take apart and clean!
