Thankfully I do. I'd lose my mind if I didn't. Even if my mom wasn't able to keep the girls like she sometimes does, I am so thankful that she is always there for me to vent to/get ideas from!

My support system is mostly just Mrs. Bee! We used to have a great support system, but we moved last year and haven't made as many close parent friends.

Friends. But they all have local family so they don't really get it.... A few weeks in a jam I had to take my son to the ER and my daughter was in bed and my husband was at work. I couldn't help but think how handy it would be to have a family member pop by to help.

I have a couple good friends that always have my back. And our daycare rocks. And my work is really family friendly and nobody minds if I have to bring a sick kid in for an hour or two, or work from home. Or leave a few hours early to go Christmas shopping.........

Daycare. And a small handful of friends if we had an emergency or needed help.

@Mrs. Champagne: I think about this all the time. We have good friends that we can ask for help if we are desperate but I dont think it is the same as it would be if we had local family we could rely on.

@Mrs. Lion: for sure. My friend came over to watch my daughter but I felt so bad asking. I can so clearly remember a similar situation when I was young and my mom had to take my sister to the ER. She called my aunt to go with her because she was 2 minutes away. I wish I had that!

Yes, I feel I have a good support system. My son wasn't feeling well this morning and I am here at work because he is able to be with my retired parents. They also do a ton for me on regular days, my dad picks my son up from school every single day of the week. The best part about it is really the bond that has formed between my son and parents.

For real support comes from our families... In terms of childcare and also financially. I do have a few good friends (both moms and not) that I can freely vent to so it helps.
