Now that google sorts when you use the desktop version, I just stick with the one address. I do go through every month or two and unsubscribe from things I never read.

Yup. Same as @lamariniere. All my shopping/promos/signups are on 1 email address separate from my "important" email account which is used for correspondence, etc.

I did with AOL b/c the screen name was lame. I stopped being able to sign in for some reason though, and have stopped using it since.

I've never felt the need to have one. Gmail does a fabulous job sorting real mail vs junk that goes into "promotions" and I'm pretty proactive about going into the promotions folder and unsubscribing from the stuff I don't want to receive.

No. I just delete as I go and get in the 'unsubscribe' mood every other month and clean house. I like to keep a (close to) zero inbox for organization purposes.
