Yup, a red one. I don't use it as often as I'd like too, but when I do, i sure love it!

Another vote for "no, but I want one"!
I bake/cook a lot, and it would probably be useful to me as I bake quite a lot of bread in the winter. But in Europe they cost more than twice as much as they do in the US, so I spent the money on a food processor instead.

I love mine. I do a decent amount of baking and like to make fresh whipped cream. It's a champ and great for multitasking.

Yes, I have a white one and love it! I want to paint it one day, though.

@chopsuey: yes! Don't use his points bc there are so many deals now on them!!! Just last month I saw one for. $134! I will keep my eye out for you. And yes I freaking love my KA mixer. We also have the pasta attachment and it's pretty awesome.

@PurplePeony: the artisan is also not as powerful I believe. When we got them the lift bowl was the pro version.

Yup. I have a red one, but have never used it. It was a wedding gift.
persimmon / 1165 posts
We were gifted a nice one for our wedding. I used it a lot in the beginning but haven't touched it in over a year

I love mine SO much. It was a gift from our church at our wedding shower, so its not the colour I would ideally love (its white) but its awesome.
However...its the basic model, and while its fantastic, I'm totally lusting after an ice blue or metallic pink Professional or Artisan.

Yep and I use mine a good amount. I use it to bake and my husband has bought/used attachments for meat grinding too. It's worth it for the convenience... it's so nice to let it spin. "Mix on low for 2 minutes." Set a timer, set the mixer, and then clean for 2 minutes!!! ITS AWESOME!

I use mine so much! I don't know how I would survive without it (ok, mildly dramatic). I have a red one with the bowl-lift, which is more powerful than the tilt one.
DH got it for me for Christmas almost 6 years ago, then a couple years ago they came out with an even bigger one and I kinda want that one too...I bake a lot!

We have an Artisian (matte silver) and I love it.
Even though I dont bake often, it is really helpful and not too hard to clean. I think it really helps with kids too because there is a shield so she can safely dump ingredients in and watch it get mixed up! I can also step away from the counter for a minute without her dumping hte bowl.!

@Andrea: OMg! Bake cookies with the girls!!
@locavore_mama: Thanks! Yeah, I was looking at the other models/colors and I think we'll save the points for something else and just buy one!

I have one in Matte Slate Gray - and I LOVE IT!
This is the one kitchen item that my husband and I both agree - whatever it costs, we are replacing it the day our current one breaks!
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
Yes I have it in white, and love it. I use it at least a couple times a month. We used our wedding gift cards for it, I told my husband it was non-negotiable that me as a married woman needed a mixer! he even agrees that it was a good investment!
grapefruit / 4213 posts
Yes, I have a hot pink one (I think it's called "raspberry ice") and I use it for baking, mashed potatoes, fillings when cooking. I use it a lot.
grapefruit / 4712 posts
DH has 2. We love them!! I love to make garlic mash potatoes. He has one with flames and one is red. I am pretty sure our holidays would be harder with out. My folks have an extremely old one and his dad has at least two. They are awesome!

@Mrs squirreld: pretty
I use my mom's and make the mess at her house...one of these days I will get one. I love, love, love the mixer.

We have the head tilt model in Cobalt (deep blue). I freaking love that thing I use it a couple of times a month and think it's totally worth it!
honeydew / 7091 posts
Yes - LOVE it! I probably use mine most for shredding chicken... haha
I have the matte black one.
pear / 1974 posts
Yep - i have the pink one, and I use it quite often because I do like to bake a lot. I make cinnamon buns often and it's so easy to make dough in it!
nectarine / 2274 posts
Yes and I love it. I used it weekly before LO, but I will use it more during the holidays.
honeydew / 7909 posts
Yes! It's one of the most used things in my kitchen....
Here's a pic of it whipping up some ice cream!

@chopsuey: I have a dark grey/silver one and love it. It is one of my favorite and most used kitchen gadgets!
grapefruit / 4817 posts
I have the black pro model and I never use it. It collects dust on my counter.
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@Ash: we hav ehad the ice cream attachment in the box for two+ years now! i'm so intimidated to use it!
I use mine often for pizza dough and baking. I have the basic white lift-head one..idk, it was pretty low priced at macy's! works fine, no issues
honeydew / 7909 posts
@sorrycharlie: it's so easy to use! The worst is the prep... You'll love it!

@locavore_mama: If you find a really good deal, let me know. My sister wants one, so I will pass on to my parents for Christmas.

@T.H.O.U.: Just that paddle attachment it comes with. Seriously life changing! Right after it's done cooking (I don't know if it would work with cold chicken) I plop it in and turn it on full speed (using a towel to cover the top so chicken doesn't fly everywhere). When I was 38 weeks pregnant I cooked up a whole 10 pound bag to shred and freeze - it took me like 5 minutes to shred it all!
ETA: It only takes like 15 seconds to shred it - with 5 lbs I had to do it in a lot of batches
honeydew / 7916 posts
I don't use it often (maybe once or twice a year at this point) but wouldn't bake without it! If you bake a lot you need it for sure!
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
i don't have one! not a baker... and MIL has a brand new one I think she's going to give MEEEEEEEEEEEEE so i won't buy one anytime soon.
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
@MapleMoose: do you have the glass bowl or stainless? Raspberry ice is pretty!
honeydew / 7909 posts
@T.H.O.U.: I actually use the hook attachment when I shred mine and I do it on low so chicken doesn't fly everywhere.
